RE: Mitt Romney can't win
Romney lost to McCain in the 07 primaries. Lost badly too.

And the GOP thinks that sloppy thirds Mittens can beat Obama? Jptdknpa

Ron Paul supporters will not vote for Romney for president. End of story. The positions on the issues are just too far apart.

Romney even admits that he's a RINO and CINO. "The only thing Republican about me is the R next to my name." And that's a direct quote from the horse's mouth. Real conservatives won't vote for the guy who created the health care nightmare bill for his state while he was Gov that Obama adopted for the nation. Then there's the varied scandals that could potentially get this clown thrown in the pen. Subs for votes, pyramid scheme with his son and a friend just to name the current ones. A lot more in the closet as far as his criminality goes that will get dragged out soon enough.

And there are so many broken Obama promises that he's lost the conservative portion of his base as well as most of the independents. Many of those won't vote for Romney either. They'll vote third party or stay at home if they have no choice other than Obama or Romney. Neither can pull together enough of a base to really do anything with. Obama only won on the 'white guilt' syndrome and his "Hope and Change" non message last time around and after his showing these past few years that good will is lost. Lavish and frequent vacations, limited work schedule and what he did do screwed his base over as well as the rest of the country.

And the same week that Obama's progressive support for gay marriage is
outed ... Romney's regressive conservative gay bashing comes to light chuckle

good synopsis
i think, though, that even though he screwed his base that they'll still vote for obama. bush screwed his base, too but when given the other "option" of kerry...same thing...they may be pissed at obama but they'll be psychologically manipulated to still vote for him. lesser of two evils and all that jazz. obama is their lesser evil.

how? show us the numbers. do you not realize just how many independents have to support romney to do that? look it up. they have become a big segment of voters. he needs most of them. to get them romney has to go against obama and against bush policies. romney is surrounded by bush advisors, his advisor team is downright scary. that's all obama will have to point out. mittens has already lost. the independents may be mad that obama is bush 2.0. but, it's also obvious that romney is bush 3.0. obama wins. only paul can take those independent votes from obama.

ah the circus
everyone knows, and has known, that obama supports gay rights.
romney...depends on the year. chuckle
it will have little effect on the election nor will it change many minds about who they support as those who really care on either side were already loyal to one party or the other. just another media division distraction like trayvon or the war on women meme.

Romney is John Kerry 2.0.

He's in it to lose.

Easier to pass austerity budget with a democrat in the White House.

the key is making republican voters aware of this. they don't seem to be for the most part. the party elites know it. romney knows it. the avg repub doesn't seem to be thinking too much, though. it needs to be a talking point imho. once they realize it they'll be pissed. chuckle

Hard to wake them to that. Though Diebold has probably been vote-flipping like crazy. He's obviously not popular, even the felony sandwiches didn't draw much of a crowd.

chuckle

Either way, most voters don't get it. And most republicans think austerity will help, when obviously it removes the only direct stimulus we have.

But it's plain to see if you look at it. Robamney sticks his foot in his mouth almost as often as Biden.

Intentionally pathetic campaign, just like Al Gore and John Kerry.

What are they planning to debate Obama on, the proper implementation of Robamneycare?

In 2008, in my county of approximately 5 million people, 6% voted independent.

I was one of them.

I voted 3rd party, too. But most indies voted for Obama last time. There was a huge anti-Bush sentiment and, as awful as Obama is, for those who still buy into the lesser evil mentality, voting against Romney is going to be their priority. Obama is bad enough. Romney...openly talks about war, more war, supporting unconstitutional legislation, supporting bank bailouts. I think most voters would rather be lied to and then sold out than be told up front that their candidate is an anti-constitution warmonger. chuckle
