Want to kill monsanto and the like? Better learn to garden (organic) and cut their proffits. The more people learning to provide for their own basic needs, the less money Monsanto gets for the unlabeled GMO crops sold in grocery stores at the lowest prices...

Monsanto has bought up nearly all the seed cleaning businesses and equipment, bought up a great deal of the seed dealers you and I depend on to start our gardens and holds sway over farmers with the constant threat of lawsuits in the U.S.

With that and the legislation recently passed concerning your rights to grow your own food, you have no idea how close they are from severing you from your ability to raise your own food.

The more I learn of these guys, the more I am appalled that this is really happening. Such blatant destruction of our natural resources in broad daylight. Such complete disregard for our planet and all inhabitants therein. When does this stop? Is it just too late...

Somethings gotta give.

Don't they use corn in feul these days? GMO corn? And BP gas, of course. Our little consumer boycotts are a bit of a joke. chuckle

Not to mention that all Ethenol is made from corn.

If they plant their GMO corn nationwide it will have the potential to cross pollinate with all other corn grown nearby. If your corn seed ends up with genetic material from Monsanto's corn they can (and have and will) sue you for copyright infringment. They do this all the time with soybean farmers.

Insidious.

Thanks Leroy. Can't stand those pricks. The recommendation to start your own garden is great advice. I'm giving it a whirl. Suck it Monsato.

Buy localized heirloom seeds.

(Just heirloom isn't necessarily good, they are acclimatized to local conditions-so you need local, or similar zone/soil seeds if you go heirloom)

They have already tried this seed out on limited basis in southwestern
Idaho. Whole fields with no yield. Zero. Total loss.

Heads up to midwest farmers.

The US government has for the first time signed off on a large-scale experiment involving genetically modified crops, which will lead to biotech big shot Monsanto introducing an engineered corn seed across America from South Dakota to Texas.

It still seems strange to me that the Media reports on the price of tea in China but when a entire food system is put in jepordy by Mad Scientists there's not a word on MSM.

Me and my brother were talking about it yesterday and he blames Jersey Shore.chuckle

In all seriousness tho,90% of the people that can tell you about Jersey Shore have never heard of Monsontos and can't tell you what a GMO is.I often wishI was born 100 years ago.....

RE: Monsanto plans massive biotech experiment in the US.
100% agree Monsatano must go. Buying organic and gardening are important ways to achieve that.

It is true that corn is a feed-stock for ethanol production. Mega-farmers are the largest beneficiaries of government subsidies and ethanol is a required additive in fuel (i think up to 10%). Starting to recognize this pattern?

I would also point out that the process they currently use to produce ethanol is extremely inefficient. The fermented mash must be boiled to collect the alcohol distillate. Re-flux separation can only yield a product that is 95% ethanol and 5% water.

Ethyl Alcohol (ethanol) can be synthesized by various processes and can yield 100% ethanol far more efficiently than distillation. I think most of us realize why we aren't doing things the smart way.
