I wrote this a while back for someone I really respect.
It is sort of a discussion piece.
I did not add money as a modern motivator but we all experience that.
Motivation, Desire, Predictability.
What drives us?
Why do we have goals and what goals are they?
We are heavily leaned on, conditioning really.
We learn by imitation for the most part, monkey see monkey do. We simply do what ever our environment allows, be it physical or social.
So on a major level we are a product of our social environment.
The social environment rewards the perception of Status. Money is seen to bring status. Fame is status.
Those seen to be successful in the social environment have status. Simple.
The want for more.
This interests me because I realized it was programmed into me as a kid. I never wanted anything as a toy until I saw other kids playing with them having fun on TV commercials. Immediately the want for more is set upon us.
It is hammered into us over and over in every way pretty much 24/7 these days. GET MORE.
All of this creates desires.
There is a line of thinking that also says in wanting something you are acknowledging an incompleteness or unhappiness with your life.
The creation of a desire for things we don't have makes us unhappy.
Social hackers use this as one of their biggest exploits
Boxes are created for you to fit into. Predictability.
The social flavour of the day is a controlling one. Things are being sectioned off and rules are made so people will know how to conduct themselves.
The people in section A do this.....
The people in section B do this......
Then you have a model.
Probing your reactions.
What topics can you just not help in answering or reading?
When was the last time you really thought about why you were buying this product or that product.
How did you reach those conclusions?
Every time the social programmers make a big move we all react, not always as expected, some break the moulds.
The social environment is controlled and manipulated to produce a directed goal of behaviours.
The majority of people just think what they are told by the media. They have the various categories of personality trait covered by the different styles of management, but think about it.
People think what we tell them to think. That is what the media does if you control it.
Does the people own the media? No, all controlled apart from little pockets on the internet.
So most of the population believe exactly what the media tells them.
I'm not sure I can emphasise this enough.
Education tells me what to think. It used to teach how to think but that was not helpful and as effective as teaching people what to think.
We think we are so damn clever but we are just trained monkeys, the more clever we think we are the less likely we are to discover we are just trained monkeys.
This is a major factor for all of us. We seek the path of least resistance for the most part and we are a pleasure seeking animal.
We get pleasure from many things on many levels.
We someone offers to provide pleasure or an environment where we can obtain pleasure, that is usually enough to convince anyone to go in this direction. Very little persuading is needed.
Some people gain pleasure by doing things or creating things.
Near death experiences that create a massive rush of endorphins to produce a “high”, drugs and public status.
We are more motivated by pleasure than most things.
These pleasure seeking attitudes allows the addiction/conditioning process.
Our addictions effectively control us if we cannot resist them..
Our fear based control system and addiction based control system are closely linked.
Sexual Desires and breeding pressures.
Very simple to elicit these responses.
Once these forces of nature are awakened they are not put to sleep again easily.
Simply once you start with sexual activity it will be a factor in your desires and motivation unless you are not pleased or pleasured by sex. This can last nearly an entire lifetime.
It should be noted many women who don't achieve sexual satisfaction still recognized the power over males that can be achieved by sex.
Undeveloped males [mentally] are easily controlled through sexual desires, hence the drive to sexualize people at the youngest age possible.
Many of us are slaves to our sexual desires. These desires are inflated at every opportunity by exposing people to sexual themes [and myths ] at every popularized medium.
Music, Movies, TV and Books all play their parts in this.
When people are sexually “turned on” they lose many of their inhibitions and their judgement centres are impaired for logical decision making, thus their use in advertising.
“Will I be attractive to the opposite sex?” is a powerful motivator for many peoples behaviour.
There is a massive amount of conditioning based around sexual attitudes and sexual status.
Ego and Status.
It is the be all and end all really. Ego runs the the public show. Ego says “Give me status, I crave it's touch”
That is it. Most people are controlled by their ego. I suspect very few people ever break it's grip.
These are some of the arsenal of tools used to control your opinion and you, by creating desire [a want for more] and using that platform.
If you did not want anything you would be impossible to manipulate. The desire to want more is important to be instilled in people from an early age of they might slip through the cracks.
The majority of people follow the path of least resistance, it is how they have been programmed.
We are also programmed to bow to authority as part of the basic school condition program. Those that do not are exiled from the system.
The perceived herd mentality controls us, we conform for the sake of unity by agreeing in public to voice the majority thoughts that prevail at the time.
This is where the media steps in, they take the role of telling you what the majority prevailing opine is and you know to conform to that one for the sake of herd consistency and stability.
We keep the herd tight by pretending to agree with what the thing we are all agreeing is the right thing to think. You saying we don't?
70% of people do it without even thinking about it, such is their herd instinct and conditioning.
You only have to control the majority an any country to make the whole country dance your tune.
If the public opinion is against your objectives create some Problem, Reaction, Solution, therapy to get the public to come around.
Once the factors of motivation are understood predictability becomes easy. Directing of large populations into predictable areas of behaviour also becomes elementary.
A basic profile of your personality gives many of the personal predictabilities.
Application of the herd mentality brings homogenization to the population.
A simple crossing of what the population wants crossed with what the controlling group wants provides the motive force for social change.
If the population does not favour the outcome then use the Problem, Reaction, Solution method of obtaining the desire social result.
The herd mentality followers are the largest group and they set the direction of society. By controlling the big group the smaller remainder group is virtually powerless.
It is not about looking, it is about knowing how to look
