He said to me i was naughty for putting teddy through such a hard time, but i could,nt stop laughing at his innocence, and empathy for a stuffed toy.

Humans are born un-preprogrammed. They don't know what to think until properly programmed. Blame this on the parental units. Or possibly a defective child. Take them all in for analysis, stupid is often hereditary. Good luck, hope it's merely a software glitch and not a defective CPU.
