As you all can see he is a happy child !
the idea of hiding my shoes came from his sense of humor this is rare at that age,(and should be promoted) i loved the fact that he resisted from revealing where my shoes were, even though his teddy was at stake, and not one artificial fibre was damaged on his teddy bear ok !.
When only one of my shoes was found his father got cross at him, which kind of upset me, because i did,nt give a damn about the shoes as both the boy and i were having so much fun in the negotiation process, this small child was thrilled at the thought my shoes were hidden, but also deeply concerned about his little friend, there was no tangible fear until his dad told him he would have to go to his room, which sobered the moment up as he had lost the other shoe, it was a great relief to him when i spotted it in the bushes, more so than I.
Its all character building experience what does,nt kill you makes you stronger.

I think at that age they know the toy can't feel pain, but they also think their precious toys should be whole and workable because they are important to them - like a friend. I remember when my daughter was about that age and she was into Barbies - especially those teen-sized ones. Well, the one type kept losing their heads - talk about the tears! She knew they weren't real, but it was like a friend died or something. And the Nano-pets (OMG)! They were just fine until the batteries died. LOL!

Dude, after reading the above, maybe you should recommend they take him to a shrink before it's too late. Print the above and show his parents THAT. You know, just to be on the safe side. Shrinks will know how serious this could turn out to be, or not.

Most likely nothing to worry about .. unless you angered Mr. Teddy ... and now Mr. Teddy is going to rip your innards out and toss them up a tree. Maybe you should lay low for a while, do nothing that might anger Mr. Teddy any further. Maybe Mr. Teddy will meet with an unfortunate accident before he can get revenge upon you, if you catch my drift. I saw something like this in a movie before, everyone was killed. Maybe Mr. Teddy could accidentally fall into the jaws of the new puppy you will buy him and surprise his parents with (LOL). Of course, Teddy could get the puppy first. Well anyhow try it and hope for the best.

He has already been moved in with 7 year old,s and is top of the class again but his mother wont let them move him up, as the 8 year old children are to big physically for him.
I might add he is very well loved, and i am constantly reminded of how much he loves me, so i hope some of you can see the lighter side of this playful fun.

Seriously, if the kid is that bright, you better review your tactics.....

possibly a better way to foster his empathy to not just teddyfications, is get really sad and tell him how you're life is ruined because you are now shoeless. The more convoluted and intricate the story the better

Nah, you should do a little bit research, this probably isn't really good to do to a kid. It might cause him to become like a sociopath or something, or like you.
