OP the .41 is nice. A friend of mine has a couple. He has enough rounds to last his life time.

Right now I am enfatuated with this that I picked up about 6 months ago.

That is a generic pic, but mine is just like it. I want to install a picanty rail under neath so I can attach a light. I saw one on youtube recently.

Governor ??

Not with those "Ribber" grips! It just amazes me though that Taurus was the first out the gate with this design. What intrigues me though is on another thread, someone posted about melting a crayon down into the nose of the shotshell. Goes way beyond the sheriff putting mercury in his hollowpoints and sealing it with candlewax.

RE: New Toy Concealed Carry
If you want a decent CC weapon that's small enough for an ankle holster but still hits like Tyson with his grudge on then I'd recommend this.

http://www.guns.com/reviews/springfield-armory-emp.html

The Springfield 1911 Enhanced Micro Pistol is a semi-automatic medium-frame pistol chambered in 9mm and .40 S&W.

Common enough ammo. Easy on the recoil. All around great workmanship and design.

At one time Taurus and Smith and Wesson were linked. But Taurus broke away and became Taurus USA, I believe doing business in Florida. There USA guns are better than their Brasil weapons were. I have both a Brasil Model 85, 38spl, and a Taurus USA model 85. The USA model is a much better built gun. Both are +P .38 but I won't shoot +P through my Brasil model.

RE: New Toy Concealed Carry
For concealed carry I like wheel guns. They are much less likey to fail on that first round, which is the one you are betting your life on. Most times a person has to protect him/herself, it is a one or two shot fire fight anyway. I do keep a Ruger P-94 in my truck if I run low on my wheel gun. chuckle

I do primarily wheel guns myself. A variety of .357s for preference. Some old .38s as well but all spinners and not sliders. The one I linked to in the post above is one of the few clip feds that I'd consider using even though it's not a 357 or 38.

One thing about it. Springfield is one reliable gun builder. Jhikpghf And I would prefer the .40 since I have a couple of those, and am learning to like that round a lot.

Meh.

While a nice pistol the .41 mag is a dead round. IMO you should have bought a .44 special, then you leave yourself open to a .44 mag in the future and can reload both off the same reloading dies.

Nevertheless congrats on your purchase.

Cheers

Every once in a while you amaze me with your short-sightedness. Not to mention Skeeter just rolled over in his grave.

You are an idiot. I can't help that.

Your lack of defending your position technically and on point forces me to laugh.

Damn, You need to clean that thing up a little!

Indeed I do. But what can I say, I bought it in the parking lot. It's a heavy ol' thing, I'll give you that.

No, it's from the Kimber Custom Shop, IIRC.
