"A slow-moving storm system headed toward the Northeast after unleashing tornadoes and dumping snow in the nation's South and Midwest, which caused delays for holiday travelers and disrupted a key shopping day for retailers.

At least six people had died as of late Wednesday as a result of hazardous conditions brought on by the storm, according to the Associated Press. State highway patrols scrambled to untangle the messy roads and urged people to stay inside.

"This is a very dynamic, energized storm," said Chris Vaccaro, spokesman for the National Weather Service, noting reports of about three dozen tornadoes on Christmas Day, blizzard warnings in the Midwest and high winds expected for the Northeast.

More than 1,800 flights had been canceled in the U.S. since Christmas morning, with the forecasted strong winds expected to cause more, according to FlightAware.com, which tracks flight information."

My analysis: Are we heading towards a catastrophic winter in the Northern Hemisphere in early 2013, just right before an imminent Pole Shift or big crust movement, which according to multiple sources, will occur around Feb-March 2013?? Enddoomeddoomed

We are 4 years into the coldest solar cycle in over a century. The sunspots could stop completely by 2015. Jptdknpa"Global Warming" Jptdknpa can't trump solar cooling.

Maybe you should change the title to your thread as you said the entire northern hemisphere, so you have just been debunked.

It's snowing heavily in many areas. Go check your local news in Northern countries for your confirmation. SrjceahdSrjceahdSrjceahd

Sorry. What constitutes your "northern hemisphere"? Where I am has seen LESS snow and LESS cold temps for years.

The times, they are achangin'.

Our last real winter in Central Virginia was 1996. We had about 1/2 inch snow for a day and one-half last year.

Forty years ago we had real winters with snow plows, salted roads and snow days for school children.
