An explosive book released today documents how progressive organizations behind White House policy have crafted specific, second-term plans for the federal government to determine the “value” of individual jobs in the private sector instead of allowing employers to pay what they want.

Other second term “economic fairness” plans include concentrating more power with the federal government to rectify “bias” and “discrimination” in the workforce regarding salaries for “equivalent” – but not necessarily equal – jobs in the private sector.

This is in addition to the enactment of a “living wage” that would force all employers to increase the salaries of the nation’s workers to meet “basic needs” such as housing, food, utilities, transportation, health care and recreation.

Well, if corporations reward their investors and ceo's too much and their workers too little, what can you do?
Collective bargaining between workers and owners seems the normal way, but if people also like to destroy Unions...

I think it is a good move by mr O.
It will never happen.... but the idea is nice.

I agree, it will never happen. But it NEEDS to happen. When a flipping CEO can sit in his corner office watching the new york skyline jacking off to beat the band all day and get paid 90 million a minute for doing it, and the people out there actually doing the work can't afford a roof over their head, SOMETHING needs to change.

Not that it will, of course.

Meh, it's Arron Kliens book and it may be worth a read...maybe foreshadowing or just total bs but it's all based on if he's re-elected. Will be interesting. Popcorn

I know it sounds stupid and plotted but have you ever seen undercover boss? Has anyone here ever owned a company that was more than two people?

I have and know what it's like...no I never made 90mil but didn't do too bad. It's not that easy and yes, unions suck. There does come a point though when you go public for all the right reasons but lose sight and it literally is bigger than you. I can guarantee that 99% of CEOs don't sit and jerk off all day, unless of course they're in banking. Don't believe me, go and try to start a company and be a CEO.
