I fully support this "Redistribution". Under Eisenhower taxes on the wealthiest brackets and capital gains were 5X and more higher than now. Problem is we've redistributed it all back to the rich and now we're all f*cked. Through tax cuts and bailouts we've given the rich more and more while OUR children fight our wars, not theirs. f*ck the rich. No sympathy. They should be taxed even higher than what Obama wants to tax them and f*ck privatizing my social security and your socks too.

At the very end of that interview listen to what he says about CERTAIN CORPORATIONS and favored business interests being guaranteed profits by the government because through subsidies, no bid contracts, and corporate wellfare they are given an unfair advantage in the market place as well as through regulations that put their competition out of business by creating an environment where they cannot compete. These favored Corporations and business interests then amass the desired Monopoly. That in a nutshell is in fact the policy of the Obama Administration.

Then put it together with the information from my last post above.

The obvious conclusion is that those who actually own controlling interest in the favored corporations also finance political careers to insure their own personal representatives and beurocrats run the governments and institutions of power. They also happen to fund and control the Tax Exempt Foundations, Think Tanks, and Research Institutes.

The taxes these people pay on their personal income is merely a token show to hide the fact that they own us and can pretend they actually pay their fair share which they do not. They merely run a ponzi scheme and pull all the strings. They maintain control of the governments and institutions of power through illusion which is accepted by the masses through intergenerational conditioning and mental programming enhanced through a very sophisticated dumbing down process coupled with perception management to promote disinformation that results in ignorance reenforced through "BLISS".

The captions mis-characterize what he said.

He does want redistribution, and he'd probably characterize that as reparations.

Fair to disagree with that.

And that can be done legislatively. He's right about that. School bussing for desegregation is an example of that, and it worked.

I live in a city that still has a hangover from segregation and a Race War.

The North side of the city was left in squalor for decades after the race war, and city revenues were spent on improvements that moved the city center further and further south.

Desegregation helped dispell racial tensions, and we've become more integrated in housing, but there's been little economic development on the North side.

So improving their transportation is a great idea.

Not to ripoff the Rich, chuckle

, but to spread development across the racially neglected side of town. It's good for tax revenues to do that, and good for crime, and a really good opportunity for industry.

Redistribution of wealth normally is that a 'socialist' dictator comes to power and gets all the land and all the wealth of the landowners and barons and oligarchs and gives or spends it on the working class.

What we do in the west is ask a little bit more tax from the millionaires and billionaires and ask a little less of the poor, percentage wise.

I see a big difference, but ofcourse republicans don't.

The problem here is the income gap, conservatives ignore it, don't see a problem, but sane people know that it can destroy a country.

If we have a top 1 percent taking in 24% of the wealth and a bottom 50% taking in even less than 24% of the wealth, then we are creating a system where the few dominate and rule the rest. And it is getting worse every year.

An alternative is that wages for workers go up so millionaires keep less and workers get more without the government needing to do anything. But that is not how the free market works. So a free market will destroy itself without intervention.
