There was a huge lapse in time between Christ talking to prophets and Revelations being written. Supposedly written between 68-95 AD.

Sometimes I think Revelations is a story men dreamed up to scare people to conform.

I find it hard to accept that Christ would mock his own words concerning peace. It is a very profound statement, and it is a shame that they were not held with deep devotion over the last 2000 years.

I am not saying who Obama is one way or another. He could simply just be a megalomaniac.

What I don't like is someone who condemns the words of a man, words that are extremely pure in mockery, then quotes another passage to suggest that he is that one.

That is not sound. We are talking about the leader of the greatest military ever. I want an extremely sound mind in that seat. The idea of casting out blessed is the peacemaker for they shall find peace, and then claiming to be the "only begotten son" in a round about way as you sit as Commander in Chief is troubling.

You have to see that. These are some subtleties at work that I was not going to get into.

As far as the authenticity of the text, it is moot for this discussion. The altar of pergamum is real, and those stage props resemble it nearly identical with a modern twist.

Now if you want to question if there was an Antipas who was slain there, and all that then you are more than welcome to do that. There are other sources concerning this matter if you want to be diligent about it.

Obama is mediocre but only slightly less inept than Bush. He's just a politician. It's a shame for a politician to be anybody's hero.
