For the second week in a row, the Senate on Thursday voted down proposals to extend the payroll tax holiday through next year. In the case of the Democrats' proposal, Republicans objected to the "millionaires surtax" that would be used to pay for it.

Ever since the idea of the surtax was introduced weeks ago, Republicans in Congress have railed against it, arguing that it is a direct hit on small-business owners and other job creators.

"These tax increases will fall disproportionately on job creators"

We wanted to talk to business owners who would be affected. So, NPR requested help from numerous Republican congressional offices, including House and Senate leadership. They were unable to produce a single millionaire job creator for us to interview.

http://minnesota.publicradio.org/feature...=143398685

.....

So where are all those jobs from those Republican job creators?

You expect politicians to create jobs? Parasites don't do that. Not taxing people to death helps them be able to spend more which creates demand for goods and more goods and then people pop up to create the supply for that demand. Didn't you learn that in like 3rd grade?

The Republicans referred to the very rich as the job creators. That is why they pushed for no new taxes on the rich. It looks like the job creator myth was all just a lie.

Here's a great analogy depicting how the two groups protect their own.

Republicans circling their wagons, when under attack, is just like an Ant or Bee colony. The rich and powerful will huddle together in the center of their group for maximum protection and the many expendable minions will fight to the end to protect those in the center. Only the rich and powerful are considered important.

Democrats circling their wagons, when under attack, is just like our Great American Buffalo. Those who need protection the most (the young, injured and elderly) would go into the center of the group for maximum protection, and the strongest will surround and defend the whole group from attack. Everyone in the group are considered important, not just a few.

That may have been true on some levels at one time. Now both parties have the same owners. The Democrats are no better than the Republicans.

The only difference is the Republicans do manage to be far bigger assholes about it all.

Sadly that is what happens when you outsource jobs which is what has been happening for 30 years.

When you try to stimulate the economy that money immediately leaves to whatever countries you buy your goods from(China). Back in 80's when Ronald Reagan doubled the spending rate of the United States to stimulate the economy it worked because most of that money stayed within the US. The people that got more money spent it into the economy and and that money floated from person to person within the us buying us goods every step of the way. Now people buy shit from china-mart sending all the money to the peoples republic.

The only way out of it is to f*cking FORCE these companies to bring back jobs by systematically taxing the shit out of the goods from every country we have a trade deficit with. Including oil from the middle east.

LoP Guest  Wrote:
You're not gonna like/accept this but America has basically outsourced an entire generation of blue collar jobs because it was cheaper to do so and the CEO favoring GOP you voted into office allowed it to happen. Because the white collar unemployment rate for those with collage degrees is half what the national average is.

http://blogs.wsj.com/economics/2012/05/0...ege-grads/

If I had a company and the rules of business allowed me to outsource production to another nation, ship those goods back to the states, and make more money than I would if I had made those products nation-side, I would do so. To assume you wouldn't seems silly.

If you want to a solution to the outsourcing dilemma, look in a mirror.

It's your duty to buy American, folks. Vote with your wallet. If a company employs overseas, they don't get our dollars. They go broke. Overseas production goes away. Simple. ...But you may not get to wear Nikes. I know that would f*ck with you pretty bad.

Looking to others to solve such a problem is stupid. They're out to make money. They're out to stay in their political positions. They won't help you. YOU have to do that.

Question: Why are all these corporations so rich?
Answer: Everyone gave them all their money.

Who's to blame? The snake oil salesman or the people buying that shit?

In November, if ya'll are voting for either a Democrat or a Republican, you're doing it wrong. We to change this nation and the two party political division is the best place to start.

so because of the droughts and tornadoes from climate change plus rich gop outsourcing and wall street abuses it's the blue collar bible belt that is suffering the most.

RE: Obama's Real Unemployment Rate
53% of Recent College Grads Are Jobless or Underemployed

More than half of America's recent college graduates are either unemployed or working in a job that doesn't require a bachelor's degree, the Associated Press reported this weekend. The story would seem to be more evidence that, regardless of your education, the wake of the Great Recession has been a terrible time to be young and hunting for work.

But are we really becoming another Greece or Spain, a wasteland of opportunity for anybody under the age of 25? Not quite. What the new statistics really tell us about is the changing nature, and value, of higher education.

First, here's the nut of the AP's findings, which it derived with the help of researchers from Northeastern University, Drexel University, and the Economic Policy Institute, based on data from the Census Bureau's Current Population Survey and the U.S. Department of Labor:

About 1.5 million, or 53.6 percent, of bachelor's degree-holders under the age of 25 last year were jobless or underemployed, the highest share in at least 11 years. In 2000, the share was at a low of 41 percent, before the dot-com bust erased job gains for college graduates in the telecommunications and IT fields.

Out of the 1.5 million who languished in the job market, about half were underemployed, an increase from the previous year.

RE: Obama's Real Unemployment Rate
that's for college grads under 25.

The unemployment rate for those 25 years old and over who have at least a bachelor’s degree dropped to 4% in April from 4.2% in the prior month and 4.5% in April 2011.

So those with college degrees are doing much better than those without. And conservaties without college degrees who deny climate change and support the gop are doing the worst of all. and that is certainly very fitting.

Let's put this to bed. Bush has been out of office for quite some time now, they were the Bush tax cuts.

The tax cuts were signed into law by the President after they passed the House and Senate, run by Democrats.

These are Obama Tax cuts now. But we aren't talking about cuts but rather increases. So to be clear, this is not about tax cuts, rather a tax increase after an even greater increase in spending.

Where are the Republican job creators? They are being strangled by government red tape.

The better question is "where have the jobs gone?". Job loss is non-partisan.

Thank you for clearing that up = and lets us NOT forget the grand RX scheme....

OBAMAS HEALTH CARE BILL TAX SCHEME!

Obama's health care bill does not raise my taxes at all.
