teach Ok Christians.. answer this for me
You see the Bible..and you say.. this is the word of God..
it's all because God says so.. and so it is.

How do you know that the Bible is the word of god??

Just because it says it is.

The bible uses metaphors for everything to retell history..
I'm not saying it's worthless.. but why do Christians take it so literal.

Ok.. the story of Adam and Eve for example.. So you actually believe that god
damned them for eating an actual Apple, or Peach, whatever..
NO NO NO..
the forbidden fruit was a metaphor for something else.. as well as the serpent.
An actual snake cannot talk.

How do you KNOW? Where you there? My people have many, many tales of speaking animals of all kinds...As well as many normally mundane objects (like an apple) taking on magical attributes... Are they all lies as well?

Again.. Things change in the world on a grand scale... We all know that. So where you THERE? I wasnt, so I would not venture to call it untrue so quickly...

The only way to get a message across time and space is to use metaphors and analogy's.

But the only way to understand these said things is if you have an open mind and can "read between the lines".

As is said by Daniel: "None of the wicked will understand, but those who are wise will understand."

Words can be twisted and used for good or evil, such is the Holy Trinity.

They are Basic. Instructions. Before. Leaving. Earth.

So next time anyone has a question or opinion upon what has been written, one should ask himself first if he truly believes in God. Then start again.

RE: Ok Christians.. answer this for me
When I began looking seriously at the Bible was the year 1999. I was looking at all of those end time prophecies of Nostradamus, Edgar Casey, and the Bible. Focusing on the Bible I wanted to believe but needed evidence to confirm anything in it. That's when I came across a video about the discoveries confirming the Exodus, Mt Sinai and more. I've since uploaded this from the VHS it came on at the time.

The Search for the Real Mount Sinai
(video)
http://www.archive.org/details/The_Searc...l_Mt_Sinai
Shows the exodus route, Red Sea crossing area, Mount Sinai in Saudi Arabia and surrounding artifacts including the split rock as recorded in the Bible.

The story of Adam and Eve is literal. No, we were not there so have to look at evidence we find today to confirm the Bible. If the Bible is true about creation and God coming to earth as Jesus, then the story of the Garden of Eden also happened, whether we were there to witness it or not.

Adam and Eve disobeyed God by eating of the tree and by doing so committed the first sin, thus were cast out of the Garden.

The snake did talk because there is a Satan and fallen angels according to Jesus.

It is not the word of God.

It is the word of someone who claims to have spoken to God.

You have to decide for yourself whether you can trust other human beings enough for them to relay God's word.

Someone once said that, you either know God, up close and personal, or you do not know God.

1. The metaphor for the forbidden fruit is sexual relations.
2. The "serpent" was a title for lucifer the fallen angel; the devil and satan. Not a literal snake.

Revelation 20:2

King James Version (KJV)

2 And he laid hold on the dragon, that old serpent, which is the Devil, and Satan, and bound him a thousand years,

The fallen angel cannot have sexual relations. He is called the serpent due to the incident in the Garden where the serpent was chose and possessed because it was pleasing to the eyes.

The story in the Garden is literal. The wording is literal, not metaphorical as other parables begin "a certain man" then use symbolism.

You see God has made it really really easy for everyone.
Either it's all true, or none of it's true.
You can either believe that Jesus was who he says he was and that all the promises of the bible are true, or you don't.

You take a chance either way...

RE: Ok Christians.. answer this for me
3:1 Now the serpent was more subtle than any beast of the field which the LORD God had made. And he said to the woman, Yes, has God said, You shall not eat of every tree of the garden?

3:2 And the woman said to the serpent, We may eat of the fruit of the trees of the garden:

3:3 But of the fruit of the tree which is in the middle of the garden, God has said, You shall not eat of it, neither shall you touch it, lest you die.

3:4 And the serpent said to the woman, You shall not surely die:
-
It was a literal tree God had created and told them not to eat from in a literal Garden, and the serpent was literal. There's nothing to indicate otherwise.

Something I've been saying as a kid.

"If I have to choose between good and evil, heaven and hell.
Why would I not be for heaven?"

I have yet to find a reason not to be.
