Good one AstroC, their double-speak programming can both ways can't it? Because every fringer here with even a quarter of a brain can plainly see that the whole incident was staged in order to snowball the hype so the UN can take away gun rights. Great to see you using their own staged events against them. Damn right a citizen packing their own heat could have been a huge help to all those people.

If you believe the UN-US can take Americans guns away, you need to take a deep breath, read this article and look at FACTS

http://mobile.reuters.com/article/idUSL2...8?irpc=932

For every 100 Americans, we have 90 guns...by far most weapons of any nation, most weapons per capita by far, for the entire world right now for every 10 people there are 7 guns, but if you take the US out of the numbers it drops from 10 people for 1 gun...the US purchases almost 50 pct of the new guns made each year...no UN half ass troops, no US troops (too many would disobey the UNLAWFUL order and there's be hardly any US troops...cops? Cmon they know they'll be facing a well armed nation, they can't do it...so who is taking anyones guns? I know no one is taking mine...ONLY 12 PCT of GUNS ARE REGISTERED...they don't know where millions and millions and millions of guns even are....no one is taking anyones weapons, turn off fox news and take a deep breath

Your thread = Fail...why? this is why...

1) Most of the people in that theater were disoriented by the tear gas.

2) It wouldn't have made a difference because the shooter (James Holmes) was wearing body-armor/riot gear from head to toe.

3) Shooting back at James Holmes in a crowded movie theater, while being disoriented by tear gas in the dark would have only got more innocent people killed.

But of course...anyone who doesn't agree with you Christian Rightwinger gunnut-jobs are anti-freedom and government shills.

After being disoriented by the tear gas, I highly doubt one person would've been able to make a difference in the outcome

Not only that, but perp was in full battle rattle (helmet, vest, pro mask, etc) and had 4 weapons on him (AR-15, 12 gauge and 2 handguns)...people said he never reloaded so he more then likely had extended clips or banana clips...plus throw in tear gas, on top of a theatre full of civilians...good f*cking luck, maybe rambo but not joe blow that has a CCW, fail

Maybe... I agree that MOST people would be panicked and blinded and not thinking, but still... All that was needed was ONE guy with a sidearm, with a cool head, maybe a veteran, he drops to the ground as soon as the shit starts hitting the fan and gets whatever cover there might be - even a dead body - he waits a moment for the perp to be turned with his attention on other targets, and puts one round into the guy's head.... BAM!

Problem SOLVED.

It sure could have cut down on the body count.

THIS!! :)

did you read the TITLE of the thread?

does it say "would", or "could"??

and his gear was evidently not as described...

I've been tear-gassed. It makes you cough a lot but you still have your senses about.

Every single person reacts differently to tear gas

Especially depending on how much is released, how close they are to a cannister, what type of enclosure they are in etc

The number one thing that most people all suffer from, is vision problems

But okay you coughed alot and had your senses about. Where you outside? Ventilation? Or inside a small room, or even a large one with poor ventilation?

99% of people inside a gas chamber will come out with every single mucus membrane pouring not being able to see properly, and this is with protective gear on, and only limited exposure to the actual gas, because your body is designed to rid itself of things that are foreign. You couple this with bleeding people, people on the ground, children screaming, smoke from gunfire, limited visibility, in an already darkened theater, smoke grenades and gas, and about a handful of other variables that you would have to live through to understand, then come back and tell us how you'd be about your senses, completely capable of taking out this gunman who had on a full set of body armor.

all you pseudo Rambo's know exactly what you would have done if you were there

so long as you had a gun with you

give me a fkn break

welp you weren't there, and saying you would do this or that is good stuff for a story, but unless you're in that situation you have no idea how you're going to react.

Why is nobody talking about the "servicemen" who were there? These guys are trained military and they didn't do shit to stop this guy...they aren't heroes, they are cowards.

Scream1

Are you suggesting that I'm not who I say I am?
