"Over 400,000 Homes Have Cut The Cord So Far This Year... But Cord Cutting Is Still A Myth?

For a few years now, we've been hearing pay TV execs (and some of their favorite Wall Street analysts) claiming that cord cutting in the US is some sort of myth, even as the numbers continue to prove otherwise. The latest stat is that, since the beginning of this year 400,000 households have cut the cord and dropped pay TV services...."

The only way I can get a high-speed internet connection where I live is to pay for cable TV and internet. Just internet isn't an option, it's an add-on. So I'm paying for 90-some channels of TV that I don't use. I don't even own a TV, and can't stand to be in the same room with one that is on.

Hard for me to imagine that anyone would actually want to watch that dreck.

but,but....snooki

Lmao

and actually thats not true, you have been lied to by a sales guy when they signed you up....

they try the same thing with me, i asked to speak to a manager, without telling the sales guy why, i ased the manager if i HAD to get the tv and phone, "no, ofcourse not", I then went on a "trieste" about how his sales guy lied to me,,yadayada

i bet you could call up, ask to talk to a manager, tell you got hosed, and that you've been paying for crap you don't want...direct tv are known for this kinda crap, heck most of them are, all the sales fuks are on commision

push the point, i bet you they give you some money back
