I really mean all T.V programs, There is a reason they specifically called it that. T.V is designed to program people the way, (who ever creates a program) to think. But with this particular program, there are too many WHAT IF'S, so it's all really best guess. And design to get people to believe in something that may or may not be true.

But if you like watching it, there is nothing wrong with that, as long as people understand it's only a program. Facts and fictions are brought out in just about everything, it all depends on if the mind can determine which is real and not.

I will also add to this,

In my opinion, we humans have been through this technological stage more than once, And for some reason always ends in destruction. Just maybe back then they had learned about zero point energy? There has been many smart and wise people that have come and gone throughout history, even dating back that far.
