well, if you are in the U.S. go to Whole Foods grocery store.

ooops, maybe not pickled, but they have herring in creme sauce or herring in wine sauce.

Most grocery stores in the US have an "ethnic" section (i.e. one isle with imported food) so check there - or check the isle with canned (tinned) meat and sardines.
It probably won't be as good as you can get in your county, but check around or ask a store employee.

yeah, at regular stores it is usually in the refrigerated section not too far from the cheese.

Also, it depends where you are - if you are in the northeast (New England) then chances are good you will find it (check or ask at the local Deli's), however, if you are in Texas, then good luck (you may find canned on the grocery shelves )

Sweden.. I don't think Denmark likes this kind of food..

Can be found most anywhere in the midwest. Grocery stores all carry it.
