Why don't they just stop using the site if they don't want to anymore?

As far as I understand, all it does is make the account not useable anymore. The posts will still be available forevermore?

The only way to rid what you say from the Google database is to individually delete everything you post on a username.

And as for the why, well isn't it plainly obvious?

He/She does not want there previous words to be recorded and just came to that realization.

Otherwise they would do as suggested, just stop returning.
