Pop Quiz: Who can tell why this bill is special
Pretty interesting, watching a vid I realized that something I had acquired in my time as a bank teller in my quest to become financially independent (of my parents chuckle ) was actually very significant considering my current life as fringe lunatic forum poster. Being a guy that no longer believes in coincidences I am just now blown away at the fact I have one.

I myself couldn't have actually answered this till I saw that awesome cartoon vid on the real evils of the fed. If you guys can't figure it out I will post it as a hint. Course LOPsters in general do seem more educated about these things so you guys will probably get it quick. So, anyone? Anyone? What is so special about this bill:

not that hard, that picture is off a United States Note issued by the U.S. as opposed to what we have now being issued by the Federal reserve.

It's a United States Note redeemable in silver (silver certificate).

Not to be confused with a Federal Reserve Note redeemable for a hope and a prayer.

It was backed by real currency.

Tissue

When and what will bring us back to that?

The thought is almost terrifying.

DING DING DING WINNER! Exactly right, if you look closely at the top of the bill it says Untied States Note instead of Federal Reserve Note. Now, originally the red ink caught my eye, so I knew there had to be something special about it. But I didn't know what. I mean I am only 29 and just finally learning about these things. No one teaches them to you, you have to educate yourself.

Now originally I was under the impression the red ink signified silver mint, so theoretically I can go redeem it for actual silver. Not sure if that is true, but the point is this bill is backed by something. Federal Reserve Note is a debt note. Every dollar you hold is actually worth -.15 or something like that because of the interest owed on top of the original 1.00 owed as well to the Fed.

Extra credit for the excellent analogy!

Not only was it backed by real currency, it had value. Every federal reserve note is actually worth less than zero because of the interest owed on every dollar printed. At least, if you look at a dollar traveling all the way through the economy and going back to the masters as taxes.

You guys have probably seen it, but as with most things that go beyond surface deep, I catch more with each repeat viewing. And on top of that, at about the 24 min mark they talk about JFK as the last pres to stand up to the banks. And they showed the notes he issued and...

Holy shit I have one of those! I have had it for almost a decade and now the significance is starting to sink in. This is why we are loosing folks, because this is how long it takes to realization to set it. We all have to work harder to educate friends and fam. And trust me, I have a democratic councilman in my fam, the normalcy bias is through the roof with him! But I just keep trying, keep finding docus until I find the material with enough facts to prove I am not just a mad foil-hatter.

Worse than that even. I mean yes if you stop paying taxes that is true. But it is even more pervasive. That is what is great about that cartoon (I mean besides the fact cartoons are great anyway) that they show just a regular dude with his house dog and job and how quickly things go south for him to keep him in the system.

When all the plastic shows up and he is like "everything is gonna be OK" That was me like 12 years ago. I identify with his story A LOT. I just haven't had a house to lose yet.

Dude, that's brilliant. You could like be a writer for Letterman.
