I thought you were moving to another nation ? How can you possibly be making such plans to relocate, and yet be on this site posting thousands of threads/posts a month ?

I'm more concerned with the color variations of the strikes in that top picture...

The pink and near purple are very dangerous in more then just electrical activity, the near purple is the "hottest" strikes of them all, and the pink ones (though cool looking) could radiate out enough IR to fry your retinals if you are too close to them..

If they are a positive strike form, then it is straight from the Ionosphere itself, where interaction with positive electrical energy (positrons) from the solar winds, normally never get a chance to reach ground, before the negative charge of the planet sends streamer to meet it in upper atmosphere..

If they strike positive, then they also emit high doses of short lived gamma radiation as well (part of a sign of matter/antimatter reactions" is a gamma burst)..

If these strikes are becoming more common, then it could be an indication of a weakening negatively charged planet, since positive charged lightning is (or was) very rare to begin with, usually one would expect such a thing after an initial negative discharge in the area first, leaving a a weakened charge area for positive lightning to strike through to actual physical ground..

I would stay as far away from a positive lightning strike as possible, since we are all "negative charged weak conductors"... it would do more then kill us, it would turn us into a smoking pile of remains and partial ash...

I don't recall asking your opinion on my personal plans or my life... and it's none of your business if you are not involved. Did you respond to my relocation thread? If not, then why should you care what I do?

Lightning will never appear as anything but white unless there is something between you and it acting as a filter. Its just to bright not to.
Kind of like the sun is a yellow star but appears white without special filtering.

That's quite a long exposure on that picture, you don't do much photography do you - or you would know that's quite a common appearance for photographing lightning with a long exposure.
