Poverty, gun control point to Liberalism's end
"Consider, there are unprecedented levels of poverty under Obama despite an enormous proportion of the federal programs now being devoted to eliminating poverty and the Messiah simply calls on the electorate to redouble its expenditures--very dramatic!" he told Secrets with his trademark flair.

And, he added, "With roughly 200 million guns loose in the country a maniac commits vast carnage in Colorado and the New York Times, in its headline, claims we are all 'reviving debate' on gun control. We can not even control our borders but somehow we are going to gather up two hundred million guns. As I say liberalism is dead--brain dead and otherwise."

This guy thinks liberalism is dead unless Obama can gather 200 million guns??? That's a lefty loon if i have ever seen one

RE: Poverty, gun control point to Liberalism's end
To the detriment of liberalism, hegelianism, corporatism, socialism, facism, communism, progressivism and all other isms, nobody ever risks their own lives for them- rather, they risk the lives of others.

Liberty, on the other hand, isn't an ism, nor even a philosophy, it is an unchangeable and immutable state and the essential yearning of humankind.

When have banning extended clips and assault rifles been confiscating everybody's weapons? lol

The NRA has one of the strongest lobbies in congress.

If there are more than just a couple politicians talking gun control I'll give you a cookie.

If they pass any meaningful legislation I'll buy you a Smith & Wesson myself.

lol

What the f*ck is the point of banning extending clips and assault rifles? What a joke. Bombs are also banned but he didn't have any problem getting those.

So your answer is to make it easier for nuts to get guns and 100 round clips?

I'm not a gun control advocate, per se. I would just like so see some sort of middle ground between round up all the guns, and let people have rocket launchers. I don't think that makes me unreasonable. Hell, I am not even for banning assault rifles, just make them harder to get. Nothing that the average american could not get around, but maybe just a little more prohibitive. Special places, with a trained and reasonable staff? Psychological testing? Just make the ammunition harder to obtain? f*ck if I know.

What if you had to get certified to own a gun? Actually go to classes. Learn the proper handling of a weapon. Learn how to react in real life situations where firearms are present or being used illegally.... take a test after you've learned all the necessary skills.

We don't just let people drive cars do we? Hell no. Even though... doomed

But you see what I'm saying. None of this being able to just buy a weapon shit...

Nothing worse than a dumbass packing....

Jhikpghf

But the brain washed masses believe you are just trying to round them up, and take all their guns away. "It's a right!!" they will say, while driving is "just a privilege." Even though you, like most American's, just want a little bit of reason involved here.

Owe all the guns in the world, for all I care, just prove you are responsible and not a f*cking lunatic. I am not advocating a big government program, that could control you easily. Something that is well written, and something that won't get abused just to punish gun owners.

Unfortunately I have determined America to not be a good fit for you, perhaps a European community would be more fitting for your piss all over the 2A views.

Jhikpghf Cheer I like this idea. I respect weapons and we have taught our sons how to shoot a BB gun and a pellet gun. It irritates me when people I know have bought guns because they want to be cool but don't ever actually practice firing that weapon nor learn how to care for the weapon. To actually go through training on how to use a gun properly would be a fantastic idea.
