A pretty convincing theory based upon a past Mass Extinction Event. The theory postulates the previous MEV could be recurring, and, it is supported by an increasing number of occurences fitting what may have happened previously.

Here's a link to the root of the blog there:

Full hypothesis:

http://jumpingjackflashhypothesis.blogsp...s-gas.html

People should be paying attention, at least if they want to have any chance at all of surviving, say, five years more. This doom is on like donkey kong. Just the one aspect of combustion vehicles burning is enough by itself to bring about complete change in our civilization, even if the poison gas weren't killing off the biosphere, including humans.

Time for a bump, now that people are smelling 'rotten egg' odor in California and Virginia. Just had 58 boats get incinerated at a marina in Tennessee too. And fire stations/trucks now seem to be burning up at a rapidly-escalating rate...

OK, which is it?
=============
pluming clouds of deadly invisible hydrogen sulfide gas into the atmosphere. Consequently, the ozone layer is being reacted away (H2S + O3 -> H2O + O2 + S), exposing the Earth to rising and probably ultimately lethal levels of UV radiation

Hydrogen sulfide is a heavier than-air-gas and will be accumulating in low-lying places:
==============
So, a heavier than air gas ( like freon @ 6x atmosphere ) gets up above the Wind Dead Zone boundary layer to zap the Ozone while being so heavy as to sink to low lying areas.

Hummm . . . .

Wind will blow the plumes up over mountains, sometimes reaching the jet stream. When not being blown by the wind it will slowly fall to the ground, making its way downhill into valleys and to waterways. So it's going to be very unpredictable and chaotic. Read the CCOHS documents and the science documents about this extinction event and so on. Mostly, I'd say be worried about the low-lying areas...seeing as we live here on the ground. Yeah, the ozone layer will be destroyed, and the UV will cuse cancers and lesions (already is), but that's sort of trivial compared to a lethal gas filling up the atmosphere and turning the Earth into a giant gas chamber...

RE: Interesting Theory Thread
How about this one:

Quote:Revelation 6
(NIV1984)
6 I watched as the Lamb opened the first of the seven seals. Then I heard one of the four living creatures say in a voice like thunder, “Come!” 2 I looked, and there before me was a white horse! Its rider held a bow, and he was given a crown, and he rode out as a conqueror bent on conquest.

3 When the Lamb opened the second seal, I heard the second living creature say, “Come!” 4 Then another horse came out, a fiery red one. Its rider was given power to take peace from the earth and to make men slay each other. To him was given a large sword.

5 When the Lamb opened the third seal, I heard the third living creature say, “Come!” I looked, and there before me was a black horse! Its rider was holding a pair of scales in his hand. 6 Then I heard what sounded like a voice among the four living creatures, saying, “A quart of wheat for a day’s wages, and three quarts of barley for a day’s wages, and do not damage the oil and the wine!”

7 When the Lamb opened the fourth seal, I heard the voice of the fourth living creature say, “Come!” 8 I looked, and there before me was a pale horse! Its rider was named Death, and Hades was following close behind him. They were given power over a fourth of the earth to kill by sword, famine and plague, and by the wild beasts of the earth.

9 When he opened the fifth seal, I saw under the altar the souls of those who had been slain because of the word of God and the testimony they had maintained. 10 They called out in a loud voice, “How long, Sovereign Lord, holy and true, until you judge the inhabitants of the earth and avenge our blood?” 11 Then each of them was given a white robe, and they were told to wait a little longer, until the number of their fellow servants and brothers who were to be killed as they had been was completed.

12 I watched as he opened the sixth seal. There was a great earthquake. The sun turned black like sackcloth made of goat hair, the whole moon turned blood red, 13 and the stars in the sky fell to earth, as late figs drop from a fig tree when shaken by a strong wind. 14 The sky receded like a scroll, rolling up, and every mountain and island was removed from its place.

15 Then the kings of the earth, the princes, the generals, the rich, the mighty, and every slave and every free man hid in caves and among the rocks of the mountains. 16 They called to the mountains and the rocks, “Fall on us and hide us from the face of him who sits on the throne and from the wrath of the Lamb! 17 For the great day of their wrath has come, and who can stand?”

Well, I'm agnostic, more of a science guy. But being agnostic is just one way of saying, 'I dunno, you could be right.' But this same extinction event has happened before, at least once, with the 'Great Dying', long before there were people or religions. I'll just keep eye on the science and the stuff I can see happening, and leave any potential religious aspects to others who are surely more knowledgeable about such things than I...

Skepticism is healthy. Just keep watching. New update for yesterday is now up. Compare the March event list with the August event list and look at the difference; it's incredible. Back in March I spent more time looking for matching stories and less time collating, because the amount of matching stories was smaller. It was hard to pick this event out of the data. Now I spend very little time finding the stories, because there are simply sooooo many, but now it takes much more time to do the updates.

And...14+ cars burning in Upper Manhattan yesterday, right on the east coast. Dunno if that's from melting methane hydrates or hydrogen sulfide blowing through, or both, but I seriously doubt that was all arson. Who would set one car on fire and hang around long enough to risk a prison sentence by setting 13+ more on fire? And that's not an isolated case either, it's just the biggest incident SO FAR.

Saw some folks mentioning a National Guard uniformed soldier in a Wal-Mart, who said his job was just to 'be visible'. (Wish I coulda got that job in the Army when I was a soldier.) Once people catch onto what's happening and just HOW BAD our situation is, martial law will undoubtedly be necessary. I guess they may be trying to get people sorta used to the idea of soldiers being around everywhere...

Holy crap! The number of fires is staggering! Have you mapped them out via google application? It would be interesting to see latitudes, longitudes and elevations of the events.

If the foaming of the mouth stories go mainstream they'll most likely be lumped into the bath salt category.

I'd suggest editing the title of your thread to something more eye catching.

Suggest pin after all the middle east crapola dies down.

I'm reading it now over at Gutenberg. The intro regarding the trance lady has already garnered my attention!

Thanks for the reference...I think.

Heh, I'm the hypothesis guy, but this isn't my thread. Maybe B-S can change the title. I just showed up here to see what the thread was about when I saw a hit coming from it, and people seem friendly here, so I've kinda kept hanging around. I haven't done the google map thing. Too much work. I'm pretty strained as it is, considering my budget of $0, my staff of me, my $4 keyboard, $13 mouse and old Vista computer. Heh. But you're right, it WOULD be interesting to see a google map with that data...

Here's a youtube link to the news story about the sulfur smell in Chesapeake (Virginia). In the comments you can see other people mentioning strange odors in their areas too, stretching back months:

BTW, I'll post here each day when I've done the daily update, so you don't have to waste time clicking a bunch of times to see if I'm done, if you want to follow along with events. Things are certainly getting...interesting!
