Hydrogen sulfide is a heavier than-air-gas and will be accumulating in low-lying places:

So, a heavier than air gas ( like freon @ 6x atmosphere ) gets up above the Wind Dead Zone boundary layer to zap the Ozone while being so heavy as to sink to low lying areas.

Holy crap! The number of fires is staggering! Have you mapped them out via google application? It would be interesting to see latitudes, longitudes and elevations of the events.

If the foaming of the mouth stories go mainstream they'll most likely be lumped into the bath salt category.
