Thanks for sharing, geogal.

Such strikingly magnificent scenery!

Frame those picturesque views for days of fondly reminiscing about your cherished childhood. flowerysmile

Have you ever revisited a place of your childhood
[Image: B10B_4F8A6414.jpg]

today, I drove roads I haven't traveled in years
[Image: BCC6_4F8A6414.jpg]

I climbed cliffs and rocks.
Things hadn't changed too much.
But some of the of the areas had weathered to almost impassable
[Image: 90BF_4F8A6493.jpg]

the beauty of some of the beaches hadn't changed
[Image: D23C_4F8A6493.jpg]

nor had the strength I refound
[Image: 6E19_4F8A6493.jpg]

nor had the height of the cliff faces
[Image: B50C_4F8A6414.jpg]

the sunset was as beautiful as I remembered
[Image: E2AD_4F8A6493.jpg]

at the end of the day, the main thing I went away with is though you can't go back, you can refind it all anew.

What have you refound?

OMG those are some beautiful pics Geogal. Make me jealous, what a great place to grow up.

I find new things vicariously now.

my childhood was in alaska.. I d love to go back and visit !!

nice pics. thanks for sharing Hugs

Now I'm envious! We flew into Eielson AFB at least annually (which gave me a chance to visit family in NP) and a few times to Elmendorff in Anchorage. Along with operating out of Adak, I found a land of beauty, strength and majesty. Sidebar: I was sad to learn that Skinny Dick's Halfway Inn was but a memory but I still have the BTDT T-shirt!

RE: REfound beauty
Beautiful, thanks for sharing Geogal. Your kids were with you on your re-visit?
Born in the midwest, no ocean here. But your photos brought back memories of a visit to the Oregon coast when I was 6. And I have been back there a few times. Heartflowers
