Isn't it established according to ET folklore that nukes are not ever going to be used again. Period. Something to do with them causing collateral damage in other physical dimensions and the first time no one knew it was going to happen to prevent it in the first place...

Yeah the Americans took out Casper the Friendly Ghosts Uncle (Uncle Basker the Bad Ass Ghost) during WWII so the ET's said "hey mutha fuckas, stop dat sheat" and then banned them from Cuba and Turkey.
