READ THE BIBLE.

...

Yep, thought so. You don't want to know about God because you can't handle it.

You want to believe that everlasting life comes from "reincarnation" not immortality.

You're lost, it's so sad to see people like you, you're like prostitutes on the side of the road who will let anyone that stops with an offer for help pick you up.

THERE IS ONLY ONE WAY, TRUTH, AND LIFE. Anything else is going to lead you down the wrong path.

but you don't want the narrow road, you want to take the road to hell.

"They've got good intentions" "he talks about reincarnation and karma, but that shouldn't distract from what he's saying"

Yes. it should. THE ROAD TO HELL IS PAVED WITH GOOD INTENTIONS.

Have fun taking the broadway.

I've read the bible in it's entirety 3 times. And each time I believed less and less. You may have it all to yourself. Stop crying when others don't believe. It's not about you.

There can be no rational spirituality while we have people like our guest here who hasn't yet understood the book which they claim to profess.

And rationally, it is not our guest's fault entirely, seeing how the modern christian church teaches a severely limited view that is more in line with fascist warmongering than actual religion.

-- Since there is no empirical evidence for any of the following, it's still
someone stretching all they can to rationalize a warm fuzzy immortality
for themselves. So it basically amounts to the same-old specious
woo-woo that drives all magical belief systems like religion, new
ageism, astrology, numerology, etc.

Is it not also "woo-woo" to believe that the soul does not survive physical death?

Since nobody has ever returned to deny the soul's transcendence, there is no proof that physical death is the end of awareness. What we see when we see a person "die" is the end of physical life — the vanishing of vital signs. Spiritual life, however, is invisible to most humans.

Belief in death is popular in this age of materialism because it is extremely uncomfortable to imagine the unknown — the unexplained.

Death is a belief that gives us relief, that we are not thrown, completely alone, back to the Unknown. -BabaDropping

RE: Rational Spirituality
"Total trust in the behind-the-scenes dynamics of the universe is fundamental to a Rational Spiritual worldview."

Trust about your personal life?

If it's just general trust that it all keeps happening, last time I checked, the mass of humanity do that automatically, its hardly a special spiritual world-view..

RE: Rational Spirituality
Be here now. It's not as easy as it sounds. I agree that we are souls passing through here experiencing the physical realm, and that we will continue on once our time here ends. Being aware in any given moment is the key to remembering that all this is merely transitory. Heartflowers
