Sim YOU
I've posted this before, including on threads today, but I think it's worthy of it's own thread.
DARPA is working on a "crystal ball" SIM EARTH that predicts what every man woman and child, and probably actual livestock are doing on Earth, and they're trying to make it real-time accurate.
That's what Big Brother is for. Not to know what you have done, or what you are doing, or what you are gonna do, but to predict how masses of people will respond to things they want to do, and want you to do as a reaction.

...The system allows for terra scale datasets with granularity of results down to one node (individual). It has a physics engine for tracking any number of people (or other elements) in virtual cities or spaces. It can correlate any amount of social, economic, political, environmental or other data with the behavior of groups or individuals on the ground. The U.S. Government, and some of the most powerful corporations on the planet are using the SEAS system....

This is Total Information Awareness, and it's not for detecting terrorists.
Exactly. I don't know what trapwire is, but credit, debit, and all those rewards cards that people like to think they are getting something for free on, accumulate all that data.

Trapwire is how they see whether SIM YOU does what YOU YOU does.

Me neither, but I do have a lot of communications, and I do move a lot from place to place under surveillance cameras.
Almost every traffic light in Tulsa has one, and Every Single major traffic interchange with the highways(freeways in Cali speak) has them mounted on wifi pods 100' in the air. These went up at night I think, I never saw one installed in daylight.
I use my debit card to get cash.
Then I spend my cash.
But my movements are still monitored, and so is all my internet activity.
It's not because I'm a "terrorist."
I'm not. I don't even advocate revolution, I think it's stupid.
I don't think my behavior can be predicted either, but I don't want anybody bothering with it.

RE: Sim YOU
honestly,
id be surprised if this didnt exist already,
and once you factor in a SMART AI,
with quantum computer capacity storage,
ONE COMPUTER could keep track of every human on earth in real time

RE: Sim YOU
The most advanced computers that are in existence are dedicated to this task in many locations around the world running various evaluations.
Some of them are deep under California.

RE: Sim YOU
Okay so I asked for a masturpin.
I didn't expect one.
Not so fast anyway.
But I DID meet a TELEX developer in around 1983 who was working on brain implants, to make learning uber-easy.
These programs for surveillance aren't for picking out individual people who might make waves.
They are for modeling zeitgeist:
“SWS provides an environment for testing Psychological Operations (PSYOP),” the paper reads, so that military leaders can “develop and test multiple courses of action to anticipate and shape behaviors of adversaries, neutrals, and partners”.
SWS also replicates financial institutions, utilities, media outlets, and street corner shops. By applying theories of economics and human psychology, its developers believe they can predict how individuals and mobs will respond to various stressors.
SEAS can display regional results for public opinion polls, distribution of retail outlets in urban areas, and the level of unorganization of local economies, which may point to potential areas of civil unrest
Yank a country’s water supply. Stage a military coup. SWS will tell you what happens next.
“The idea is to generate alternative futures with outcomes based on interactions between multiple sides,” said Purdue University professor Alok Chaturvedi, co-author of the SWS concept paper."

RE: Sim YOU
My head is in need of some AI, seems I consumed a little bit of alko last night
I think even an realistic antsim is far off
Some kind of procedural or imperative programming might fake it, but I think not even in 1000 years we will be able to do a Earthsim that´s anything like the real deal, then I´m into details, so perhaps the definition is in eye of the beholder
