RE: So, I'm Building A Fun Little Computer...
UPDATE:

Well, as parts come in, I am installing what I can. One thing I noticed right away, was that once this box is closed, I'll not want to open it again for a long time. I had planned on bumping up the RAM in a few weeks, from 8Gb DDR3, to 16G, but I decided to just order the other 8G of RAM right now. ($36)

I also realized that my old card reader from the old machine won't work on this board, so I ordered the:

Atech Flash Pro-37U USB 3.0 True SuperSpeed 3.5" Internal/External Flash Memory Card Reader w/Front USB 3.0 ($49)

It's got everything, and looks nice-- and fits! Good reviews, and also mobile, if I ever need it.

I also bought a cool tray adapter to mount up the SDDs properly.
SILVERSTONE SDP08 3.5 to 2 X 2.5-Inch Bay Converter ($12)

So, to sum up:
-- Atech Flash Pro-37U USB 3.0 True SuperSpeed 3.5" Internal/External Flash Memory Card Reader w/Front USB 3.0 ($49)
-- SILVERSTONE SDP08 3.5 to 2 X 2.5-Inch Bay Converter ($12)
-- 8Gb DDR3 upgrade to 16G total ($36)

For an additional cost of $97.

So, this is now an $850 computer, worth around $1200 based on similar gaming systems.

Best part is that I shouldn't have to open the box again for a long time, if ever, save for routine cleaning.

The last of the parts comes on Friday, so I suspect it'll be ready to roll on Sunday or Monday.

I excited!

This spider bite is getting better, but I itch all over... Getting the new computer toys has been a nice distraction.

I definitely will! I'll pop some of what I've got up in a bit. Eating dinner right now.

Here's a pic of the gathered parts so far. That's my iron for scale. The first 8G of RAM is already in, as is the GTX550ti:

I'll post some more, with the doors open, and show how this all fits in on Friday, when the rest of the goodies come in.
