Schrodingers Cat  Wrote:
There can never be a 'big crunch' as there is infinite space,

Everything in space moves in a curved trajectory, not only does that mean all objects originate from a single source, but they will also return to the original source point eventually.
Therefore the "big crunch" is inevitable

Until you are broken, you
don't know what you are made of.
Fall, but Rise. Break, but never crumble. True strength.

RE: Space is big..really big
Not only is space 'expanding', it's also accelerating faster. A singularity is a space-time continuum because there was nothing outside this singularity to observe itself. Therefore it's a bit like the notion 'if a tree falls in the woods yet noone is around to hear it, did it even happen.'

Until you look, space is both there and not there...

The tree both falls and doesn't fall.

No offense but isn't this obvious?

I mean I figured it out when I was around four.

Traveling at a constant speed of 100km/h, it would take 5 months and six days to reach the moon; and 170 years and 9 months to reach the sun.

RE: Space is big..really big
Just curious if anybody knows how big it would be if we yanked all the empty space out of it. If it were one glob of dirt, how big would that be? Crazy question, I know.
