Yeah, but do you understand what I wrote? You think they are just "believing it is green" but that isn't the case at all, they are just calling something green, and could be seeing it in a way that if you had seen it knowing what you know you would call it purple. People can't inform people of the actual color they see, and I don't think the information we interact with is created by us, but is instead received by us, it already existed before we existed.
Excuse me.
Of course he doesn't understand. But, be patient with him.

Your concept is out of context.
What are you talking about? The reason I showed that is so you understand the collective opinion of people has nothing to do with gigantic stars they don't even know about, nor does it have to do with the condition of Earth before humanity, or anything else going on the Universe. The astounding arrogance of a person who thinks they control the whole Universe and all reality when they can't even stay awake and rely on food constantly and go to the bathroom is pretty silly, no?
Not everyone is fortunate to see truth. Please be compassionate to those that cannot.
I'm pretty sure Lucky AC was being compassionate.

RE: Spiritual Warfare
The third person of the trinity today, is not Yeshua/Jesus. The third person is supposed to be each of us, individually. We are supposed to become like unto Yeshua/Jesus, not become Jesus. The third person for him, was himself because he was a whole and complete person. The third person for you, is supposed to be a complete you.
To become whole, the two must become one. Spirit and soul. To help this along, the flesh needs to be denied for the spirit to grow. This is how the veil gets parted, and we are reunited with our other half. This so called enlightenment can only be found within you. Not from a book, some guru, or especially from some religion. Religion is a step backwards in this process. You have to get to know yourself, and to know your own short-comings, and know your strengths as well. Let go of everything that you thought you knew, and become a new entity. This is the true meaning of being born again.
When you become One, everything changes. The truth only smiles.

The Lucky AC Wrote:Psychonaut Wrote:The Lucky AC Wrote:I'm digging this "I'm too much of a pussy to confront my accusers directly" tactic.
Shows the character of a man don't you think?
A tidy strategy.
Did he spend his Sunday in peaceful contemplation of God I wonder like a member of the faithful?
My Hippy buddy Neil alway told me "crucifying yourself was a really negative way to kill yourself man, you can never hammer it the last nail."
But SG seems to be doing a fine job of it.
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_EO6abKG5...re=related
I don't view SG as a pussy....more of an intellectual coward....He is desperately afraid of joining in a useful and real time conversation because he fears that in doing do, a spear of reason and truth might pierce his flimsy tin foil helmet of perceived salvation...
And I always wondered why those nice boys quit knocking on my door on Saturday afternoons.....

Tin foil is flimsy? I'm going to have to invest in a bigger pot!
Perhaps this will help.NSFW
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ZJI9eqOs1...re=related
I always treated those boys with the utmost respect....invited them in, served water...and politely asked them questions about the book in their hands....In the form of my best Colombo impersonation....
Honest questions about key phrases in their own book would trip them up every time....and then they stopped coming around...
I miss them still...

Quote:Shouldn't faithful people be spending today with God and thinking about God on a Sunday.
Surely they should be spending the day NOT on the Internet.
Never fails to entertain me, how people are willing to interpret how Christians should be, when they admit they don't have a clue how Christians could believe what they believe.
Some sort of disconnect with that.
But to answer your points, if not your question, I spend most of the day, everyday with God, praying to God, thinking about God and how it relates to the human condition, and sifting every kind of input as to how it relates and fits in with the Word of God. Not bragging or trying to sound weird (as it would have sounded to me when I was young) but it's how I've been adjusted, and adjusted myself. Where your heart is, is where your love is, is where your future is, is where your attention, focus, Path, and living dwells.
And yet, I read stuff and listen to stuff your stereotypical cardboard cutout 'preachers' you throw up as Christian examples would gleefully consign me to the same fires they say are reserved for you.
I'm just as real and human as you are...the only difference I see is that I yank myself continually onto a certain path, one that you despise.
Well, I can't really thank you for that, even though being despised is some sort of 'badge of honor'...because even the best of us grows weary of continual beatings and bashings about how stupid, mind-controlled, evil manipulating sub-humans we are. Probably as tired as you are of the 'fires of hell' thing.
For my part, I've never seen the logic in flinging that about, nor do I think that's the reality of how it works.
But as for 'you Christians slaughtered and cheated and deceived and enslaved, and so on and so forth'...it wasn't me.
I can't speak for anyone else, but ain't it funny that I hold the core elements of Christianity (the one that kills and mains and controls and manipulates, mind you) and yet all that sort of malarkey is far from me.
And I'll bet millions of others too.
I'm poor and uninfluential and have gained nothing in this World due to being Christian. I haven't 'used' my Christianity except as a lens to see and explain how the cosmos works...mostly for my own edification, which I'm willing to share with others for whatever use they want to get out of it.
I don't mind correcting egregious errors of misperception about Christianity, nor mind doing a bit of stomping about when elements of it are stolen and used for an agenda (the GalacticFederation bullshit comes to mind).
But I'm not an evangelist, it's not my calling nor my job. If I do so accidentally, then that's between you and God. I'm only a witness; and if a teacher, it's not to the lost. If I'm a nuisance, it's because I cast a shadow upon your worldview....can't be helped, I stand where I've been planted.
Not that it's any of your business, but I go to church on Saturday, so you missed the mark there also.
But why would there be a day of abstinence from the internet, and what would that have to do with God? Is there something you feel inherently wrong with the internet that it wouldn't mix well with God-stuff?
Holy crap, with all the stuff you guys post about...how could anyone avoid thinking about God?
Quote:He was in the crowd cheering as Yeshua was crucified.
No.
Not to put too fine a point on it, but even Saul admitted he never saw Him.
At the time, I think Saul was off studying in either what was now Lebanon or Turkey.

For clarity, Lucky AC is not me.
That said, your openness and honesty in this thread is a refreshing break from the useless cut and paste and endless self bumping of the OP....
You are absolutely correct in my opinion that it is NONE of our business what you personally believe....until you share those beliefs on an open forum....then others DO have the right to disagree, discuss, and share thoughts as they will....
The originator of this thread, SG, started posting his version of what he has been guided to perceive as the truth, with the open intention of guiding others down the same path. If OP didn't want to read the opinions of others, OP shouldn't have started this thread in the first place. OP has ignored many other posters on this thread who may hold different opinions than he holds.
It's no different than receiving a knock at the door on a Saturday morning by a man with a bible in tow....If I invite him into my living room, he better be prepared to hear what I might have to say.... what kind of person comes in, sits down and selectively ignores others in the room?
I suggest that OP needs to start a blog of his own...

You Seem to have gotten a little emotional. I am a follower of God. He has warned me about this guy Secret Geek, a self deceiver and a deceiver of others.
As for Christianity I was raised in an orthodox presbyterian church by a graduate of theology College.
I myself have no worldly riches and have for the most of my life dedicated myself to a life of poverty. All I have is gifts from God.
The only "luxury" I have is a computer and the Internet.
I know about all of the different denominations and how they think they should behave.
Perhaps you should open your ears and mind and listen to what God has to say about this "character" Secret Geek who speaks with a fork tongue.
I am trying to assist him in breaking free of dogma and help him to find God but he seems incapable of finding the greatest Love of all.
To tolerate him leading people down the false path is difficult for myself, I should just let it go, but I am just a servant of God and all.
It is important to try and connect with all and Forgive people for their mistakes.
Forgiveness is the only way forward for all of us.
To ignore people...........not Gods way I feel, some times one does it when they lack the strength of Love for a while.
Peace and Love.

Yes. Spirit. Singular. Singular. I wouldn't sully the spirit world with our dirt....
IMO.

If I understand you as intended, I have the understanding we are designed to face the spiritual world sooner or later. Mine happened to be sooner.
Purely opinion of course, but your demon pic; I've had instances where that could have been me too. Everybody if they are honest has one or two of those ugly mugs who show themselves occasionally. It's our own psyche IMO. That would not be the spirit world.
I wouldn't dare to pretend to know what the spirit world is other than it is not by nature what is of here. It could be absolutely nothing. A forever silence. IMO
And yes I believe we are all finite creatures. Everything in the universe is. If that makes any sense.
