Media Attributes Closure to Lesions, then Retracts...

Alarmed by widespread reports of visibly sick, deformed seafood coming out of the Gulf of Mexico, state officials have closed area waters to shrimping this morning (April 23). The waters will be closed indefinitely as scientists run tests in an effort to get a handle on a situation that is fast becoming a full-blown crisis on the Gulf Coast.

The closures – including all waters in the Mississippi Sound, Mobile Bay, areas of Bon Secour, Wolf Bay and Little Lagoon – mark the first official step in responding to increasingly urgent reports from fishermen and scientists of grotesquely disfigured seafood from Louisiana to the Florida panhandle.

I am deeply saddened but not surprised by the shrimping closures. I applaud the courageous move by state officials to put consumer safety first. There’s no doubt in my mind – as I’ve said for months on end – that seafood coming out of the Gulf of Mexico is unfit for human consumption......

I'd like to check up and see if that's still there.

im still looking for that one photo taken from above the gulf well that blew.
U could see the blast mark on the platform at the very top of the rig.
the blast came from ABOVE according to that one photo.
man i should have saved it right then!

Yeah i saw that but they said it was from the explosion....

No, it was a normal lady who's husband is a shrimper. There was a whole web site, not sure it was hers but she did a lot of reporting about her parish, including videos with the parish mayor or whatever.

She was suffering from lesions from core-exit. Her parish was right on the coast, kind of rural.

At the time there was so much censorship and blocking of news reporting by the authorities.

Maybe they've scrubbed all the internets as best they could.

BP prob sent out a "cleaning Crew" and they don't clean a messy room or water... More like eliminate people who are bad for there business....
