Most recent thing I can find from her is from last November.

Who were those guys that rented a house in Louisiana and were podcasting about the whole thing. Are they still around?

I don't know. I still haven't found that website I was looking for.

I was at TOP when this went down.

And I'm not going back there to look.

Help Gulf Residents Reclaim Their Lives
Nation Action on April 18, 2012 - 12:39 PM ET

As Antonia Juhasz reports this week in The Nation, what is perhaps the worst public health tragedy in the last fifty years continues to unfold -- the fallout of the BP oil spill and cleanup taking place in the Gulf. Compounding the injustice are BP and the government's efforts to elide and misplace responsibility for the suffering.
TO DO

The health hazards to Gulf residents in the wake of the "toxic gumbo" of chemicals unleashed by the oil spill and cleanup have produced enormous suffering. The RESTORE Act,...

(snip)

...In the wake of the BP Oil Disaster, Gulf Coast residents detail some of the formidable health challenges they've faced in conversation with the Louisiana Environmental Action Network's Kindra Arnesen....

At the time there was so much censorship and blocking of news reporting by the authorities.

Maybe they've scrubbed all the internets as best they could.

I was going to suggest checking the Memory Hole but it's no more...

I'd like to check up and see if that's still there.

also of interest from the original bezerk thread:

Quote:An old (about 85 yo) engineer retired here in the SE USA from the nuclear industry. We were discussing flow meters and he said that he had mocked up the largest one ever built to try and sell it to the commercial nuclear industry. The idea was to float nuclear power plants in the ocean, tied down of course, and use the flow meters to cool with seawater rather than using up in evaporation the huge amount of fresh water that cool nuclear-power plants.

He wanted to sell to Westinghouse and said they would not buy, using the excuse that the eco-friendly public would never accept a ocean-floating nuclear power plant.

Early on in the GOM disaster, some were guessing that the Gulf seabed had heated up somehow and was melting the frozen-crystal methane, releasing a large amount of other hydrocarbons along with the methane now in gas form.

I'd guess that a nuclear reactor could heat up the Gulf floor, and that if you were going to build one on the sly, it'd have to be way off somewhere, like South Korea. How many people, in shifts, does it take to operate a nuclear reactor? Does about 229 people sound right?

Those waves being pictured on the Gulf coast are yellow! I'm getting old now, and all my life I've visited the white sands and clear water at the Gulf. The only time I've seen the water murky was during storm when the bottom is disturbed and the water looks grayish.

Yellow is the color of sulfur.

I think you're referring to Kindra Arnesen?:

She's still getting the word out. Google provides a few decent links to her, and plenty of YouToobz.
