Why would he open up a new business if what he opens loses money?
His comments are not well thought out. He should stick to writing.
You are f*cking retarded. He made that point. In this order
1 - I am rich
2 - I do have people employed by me and paid with my money
3 - There are only 60 of them
4 - Not that I ever would, because I've lost money in the deal, but should I open another station it would employ about 12 people.
Boy that trickle down is f*cking amazing.
Liar!

Nope...I'm a business owner and a capitalist. Mr. King is using a hypothetical scenario that means jack shit. His businesses are losing money. What he "supposes" he "may" do if he were making money on the businesses is irrelevant. The only thing that matters is that his business is losing money which puts him in a position where all he can do is blow hot smoke up your ass and have you eat it up like a complete fool.
Business owners want to make money. I hire a worker if he or she can make me $50,000 over the course of the year. It's simple economics. I stop hiring once my return on investment lowers to a point where I know longer want to take on the increased costs.
Here is the solution for Mr. King. Write some more books because it's obvious he sucks at running radio stations. Above all else, stop talking for the rest of society while projecting your greedy self on others.

How am I good at this plantation thing? How do you know what I pay my employees? A sales rep for me can make $80,000. Sure I'll make $30,000, but he made $80,000.
Business owners don't just make money off employees. I enjoy a good life because of my company, the services it provides, and the employees helping to make it what it is. My employees enjoy a good life because they can make good money selling my product and service which allows them to support their family.
I could make more money tomorrow by dumping 25% of my sales staff and taking on most of the account renewals, but I don't because I give a shit.
99.99% of business owners are not billionaires or worth $100,000,000. We are honest, hard-working business owners that give a shit.
It's people like Buffett that run around telling us we should get taxed more while doing the exact opposite that are trash.

The system needs an overhaul. f*ck you and f*ck your agenda. The majority suffers while the minority flourishes off of the loopholes set in place to take advantage of the meek. Once people acknowledge the strength in numbers instead of being sheep things will correct themselves.

When you tax the middle class and working poor you are taking food off of their table.
Your view will bring ONE thing... equal poverty for all but the elite.
Communism recreated Feudalism and THAT is what you are advocating whether you know it or not.
The very very very rich will not pay taxes because...well... they follow the golden rule... he who has the gold makes the rules.
SO CALLED RICH will get taxed and will not risk their monies to created jobs.
If you'd like higher wages create LOTS OF JOBS.... supply and demand will increase wages dramatically..... IF you don't allow illegal immigrants to decrease the demand by increasing the supply of workers.
Only lazy unmotivated types want what you want.
Why don't you just be lazy and poor and not try too make the non lazy poor like you?

RE: Stephen King tells rich people upset over tax increases: ‘Tough s**t’
What tax increases? If, maybe, could be ones?
There is talk of the tax on dividend income being raised. My dad has lots of stocks which pay dividends. He does this because he doesn't speculate in stocks, but rather owns solid stocks which don't fluctuate, but pay a dividend.
He says it won't happen (the tax increase), but if it does, he will shift his money to silver, gold, oil, and other commodities on the Periodic Table of Elements.
I would assume lots of other prudent investors would follow suit, leading to a stock market crash of epic proportions, which is why that tax increase won't happen.
SK likely knows this, but if he quacks, the media who makes a lot of $$ off his $cratch listens.
There's one for ya!

Poor Steven is really upset because he realizes he is now living in one of his Horror novels. Our government is run by neocon Randell Flagg.
"If you love wealth more than liberty, the tranquility of servitude better than the animating contest of freedom, depart from us in peace. We ask not your counsel nor your arms. Crouch down and lick the hand that feeds you. May your chains rest lightly upon you and may posterity forget that you were our countrymen." Samuel Adams, (1722-1803)

RE: Stephen King tells rich people upset over tax increases: ‘Tough s**t’
Government ruins everything and created our economic problems through fascist policies (corporate and state power in bed together).
Look at Monsanto.. how do they f*ck the small farms? Through US Patents..
Government f*cking sucks. As soon as you retards develope a moral compass and take some responsibility for yourself we can live in Anarchist Utopia (or at least by the US Constitution).. until then, keep getting raped in your poor little bungholes by fascist government officials and their corporate buddies.
Corporations go to the government because the government can use FORCE. They can force you to eat your own shit if they wanted.
Libtards.. idiots.. thinking the government that caused these problems will solve it.. USE YOUR BRAIN (what is left of it)
If we truly lived in a free-market we would not have these problems. Instead we will in a Corporatocracy with little idiots running around trying to feed it more power.

I'm too drunk to read your comments. I think Steve-O might be quasi-occult, but that's just guesswork on my part. I think he has a good heart, regardless of his religiosity.
I've probably read more King than any other author. That's about all I really know about the guy. I'm glad he's stickin' it to the GOP 'trickle-down' subscribers. I wonder if The Stand has any base in reality to it, with regards to a biological ('superflu') weaponization... Anybody read the Dark Tower series? There's some occult shit in there... I think he was raised in a Protestant household, but I don't know what his personal philosophies are now.

RE: Stephen King tells rich people upset over tax increases: ‘Tough s**t’
1. There are many countries that make big corps do pay their 'fair share' of tax, even more than what the Buffet rule suggest, and ofcourse a company can pay it.
2. People who blame the federal government and all it's institutions for all problems coming from the market are not realist. They believe in a storyline that that has been developed by corporate players. And these same people make the problems worse by always voting to have government oversight and laws reduced. They remove the teeth the government may have to limit corporations such as Monsanto. They never vote to have a government that can do something about Monsanto. So what the f*ck do these people want?
