Fat Tony Wrote:My history prof. Was talking about the epic of Gilgamesh and he said that the Sumerians didn't believe in the soul being eternal and that one of the survivors from the great deluge, I forget his name told Gilgamesh that only the gods can live forever and that the only way for us to attain eternal life is through are deeds!
Now this got me thinking that if the Sumerians didn't believe it why should I
but of course I always have hope that there is something after death and we won't cease to exist cuz that would suck monkey balls lol.
Any spiritual masters with a phd in ancient history care to reassure me??
Having had a relative die, be on the other side, meet 'whomever' while there, then return in a very different 'form':
Think blindingly brilliant golden glowing 'angel' or 'ghost'. One, that even a solid wall could not stop the glow from! Appear in front of me to give closure, pass messages on, and
give very specific with exacting details that could not be known or mistaken messages to provide to her sister, her son, her husband, and my mom, and as well as some from other deceased family members.
But there's more: then be taken on a 'tour', literally riding the wind on the other side of the sky, to the edge of that beyond and back then into the homes of family members around the globe left me knowing some things.
There is a 'something' a 'somewhere' and
all life returns to it; for some reason most of us forget that. Yet we know all it when we are there and even speak the same language when 'dead'.
You never really are dead by the way, you are just existing 'there'. Yet you and I
can be killed.
I even know how.
Muslim, Jew, Christian, Atheist all are the same in the eyes of eternal truth.
They are all the same souls, no different from one another.
All differences being solely a product of man, a product of men, a product of those that would use this to divide or attack.
Or they may just not know; are stupid and mouthy perhaps.
Now knowing this above, why would I wish
or ever need to follow
any organized religion? When those very organized religions
all of them condemn my family and I for exactly the reasons of events such as above. We are not to be tollerated, though I am no different a human than you.
Persecuted by the loving organized religions, by Jesus, Mohammad and Abraham themselves.
None of them have all the answers, they all believe they are right and not one of them acknowleges the others are just as right too.
I am a very spiritual man, indeed an event like that will change you forever.
Try having it happen again forty years later and being told you must change things in yourself, in your life.
Very spiritual, yet having absolutely no use for any organized religion whatsoever. This not an attack on them, for nearly all of them believe what they preach, and do it in good intent.
Personnally, when one of them comes to post about their experience on the other side, I will want to listen.
I will hang on every word and reread it twice.
Yet I fault
none for their beliefs.
I fault them for pushing an organized religous agenda when they themselves can personally say nothing to confirm it from their personal experience.
Though I'm not an ancient history or theological scholar, I hope this gives you an insight into what awaits.
