is hard to think about I know. just ceasing to exist.......hard pill to swallow.
There are different beliefs.....some say verses in the bible have been removed that speak of reincarnation......
I dunno.

A hard pill to swallow? Really? The religious elite want to tell us that we have no rest in life and we will have no rest in death... Death is the deepest sleep you can possibly imagine =)

My heart stopped 3 times and I was in a coma for 12 days once... I had the full-on out of body experience and everything... But when I thought about it... the moment I had this experience was the moment they were shocking my heart with the paddles and forcefully pumping blood into my brain and thus causing my imagination to manifest all kinds of crazy shit, even being partially aware of what was going on... NDE's are just dreams...

NDEs are dreams?
MILLIONs say otherwise. Some have been dead for like 3 minutes but report HOURS of experience in another plane of existence.
MANY stories ALL saying the same things.....dead loved ones.....cities of light golden roads....funny thing is thats exactly what the bible says about the city of God.
I myself have had 2 OBEs....seemed pretty real to me.
I was wide awake both times.

um... I can have hours worth of dreams in 5 minutes of intense sleep... Millions can say and believe what they want and I can believe what I want... This is just my perspective... it's shared by many as well.

If you want to look at scriptures about death... check these out lol...

For the living know that they shall die: but the dead know not any thing, neither have they any more a reward; for the memory of them is forgotten.
6 Also their love, and their hatred, and their envy, is now perished; neither have they any more a portion for ever in any thing that is done under the sun.

Whatsoever thy hand findeth to do, do it with thy might; for there is no work, nor device, nor knowledge, nor wisdom, in the grave, whither thou goest.
11 ¶ I returned, and saw under the sun, that the race is not to the swift, nor the battle to the strong, neither yet bread to the wise, nor yet riches to men of understanding, nor yet favor to men of skill; but time and chance happeneth to them all.

If anything that scripture prove an after existence but from the sound of it, it sounds boring like you just in one spot for a long while!

My history prof. Was talking about the epic of Gilgamesh and he said that the Sumerians didn't believe in the soul being eternal and that one of the survivors from the great deluge, I forget his name told Gilgamesh that only the gods can live forever and that the only way for us to attain eternal life is through are deeds!

Now this got me thinking that if the Sumerians didn't believe it why should I Tissue but of course I always have hope that there is something after death and we won't cease to exist cuz that would suck monkey balls lol.

Any spiritual masters with a phd in ancient history care to reassure me??

Look to neurology instead. The brain is a receiver, consciousness is the 'music' that flows through and gets picked up by it...
We are energy and may transform or dissipate but cannot be destroyed.

quite right... even those in 'hell' being burned by fire, is just a symbol of those who did memorable deeds which were deplorable by the future masses... It's also a symbol of those who do bad deeds and are constantly 'burned' by their own conscience...

Sumeria in the Land of Kish was founded by Noah's g-son Cush. That's where they got their beliefs. That and their magi making seanse contact with the fallen angels to develop this spiritualism causing confusion about the truth. Satan has developed a system that claims he does not exist.

I am a very spiritual man, indeed an event like that will change you forever.

Try having it happen again forty years later and being told you must change things in yourself, in your life.

Very spiritual, yet having absolutely no use for any organized religion whatsoever. [...]

Court Dude, thanks for baring you soul like that... Heartflowers

How about just a little more embellishment on that "again" part?
