RE: Swinging on Spirals
Meadow Wrote:Hi Star Man, aka - SickScent,
Good to see you again.
I wonder if the members of this forum know how incredibly blessed they are to have you here?
I believe they do.
Thank you for the gift of wisdom. Only a free spirit could share as you have shared.
Meadow
A lot of them are 'old' acquaintances and 'friends', so it feels good being here.
What handle do I know you as? The Star-Man comment I remember, but cannot locate in my mind right now...

I was just an AC at that other place.
I studied every thread you wrote. Most of the time it was over my head, but this did not stop my thirst for knowledge. To say we understand it all insults the teacher.
And you are my teacher. The best. You have no ego, and so I learned much from you over there.
Here at this forum I am known as Meadow.
Hugs to you, S.S.

I am horrible at responding to compliments...lol
Thank you Meadow, that makes me feel wonderful.

SickScent Wrote:Diana Highnight Wrote:SickScent Wrote:This happens about once every 2 months or so, where I have a few nights dry spell. So, it is rare, but there is a pattern there.
I believe it is me resting my consciousness. I think it is hard for people to understand what being conscious is like almost all the time. It took me a while getting used to. I was wondering what effects it was going to have, wondering if it was going to be detrimental. Wondering if normal 'consciousness' needed rest like our bodies.
After some acclimation, nothing seems to be effected. But their are some side effects like feeling that I have lived for a hundred years already.
Interesting. The longest I maintained conscious continually was during a six weeks long mantra yoga session. I kept the mantra going in my head even when I was "asleep." So, I understand, to a point. It is probably just your need for rest. I am not blessed with the types of experiences you have, I do go to "night school", but I never remember the lessons, and everybody seems human.
Also, Indy seemed to think that you and I should talk, so I was quite excited to see you roll up here. I am a fan.
Please, lol, don't ever say you are a fan. It makes me feel REALLY weird!
Promise?
You know what your problem is, Chad? Too much humility. However, I promise.

I wouldn't say it's a problem, but a quality that is all too rare nowadays. It's the lack of ego that makes all this so endearing and approachable. Honest, heartful [sic] & very resonating. I know I live vicariously through his journey :-)
How about we are enthusiastic appreciators of SickScent's path?

I just got here tonight having just gotten banned over there, SS, and seeing your name pop up on here is pretty cool.
I did like your threads over there.
We could have a good conversation if we ever met. Lot's of weird stuff would be happening around us.
I posted about, Beijing.

Even so, a good teacher, and that's what SS is, should accept the thanks of his students...with humility.
But, Chad should know that I'm fans of lots of people. Terence McKenna, David Bohm, Matt Bellamy, Jimmy Page, Thomas Jefferson, John Dee, Joss Whedon. I'm just saying that I'm appreciative and grateful for a person's skill, intelligence, insight, and communication skills. I don't put such people on a pedestal, but I can not ignore the contributions of such people. Chad is like that.
Is Chad better than us? Of course not. Nor is he worse. I simply enjoy and get a great deal out of his work.
Sometimes, you have to accept words of gratitude and appreciation. Thats all I'm saying.

Many thanks Diana - I think you've captured that wonderfully
that's how I view it, but trying to express it comes out as fawning

RE: Swinging on Spirals
Diana, love your response.
It just makes me feel weird to have people talk about me. I don't know why, and its not weird in a bad way. Its more like, "I really effect people like this, in such a positive way?"
I think it is because I just post my thoughts, trying to always rid myself of bias, and rid myself of 'labels'. If I try my best to just spout information, and my thoughts...ahh, nevermind. I can't express this right, so I'll let it go.
