Journalist Marie Colvin in Homs: "I saw a baby die today"

Parts of the Syrian city of Homs are being bombarded by shells in what witnesses are describing as the heaviest attack in days.

Sunday Times reporter, Marie Colvin, is the only British newspaper journalist in Homs.

The footage at the start was filmed by cameraman Paul Conroy on 17 February

RE: American & French journalists killed in Syria
Remi Ochlik was born in eastern France in 1983. After graduating from high school, he went to Paris to study photography at Icart Photo school. He also started working for Wostok, a photography agency.

In 2004, at the age of 20, he went to Haiti to photograph riots surrounding the fall of President Jean-Bertrand Aristide. It was Remi’s first conflict experience. The resulting work was awarded by the Francois Chalais Award for Young Reporters and was projected at Visa pour l’Image International Photojournalism Festival.

In 2005 he founded his own photography agency called IP3 PRESS, with the goal of covering news in Paris and conflicts around the world.

He covered the war in the Democratic Republic of Congo in 2008, the cholera epidemic and presidential elections in Haiti in 2010.

In 2011, Remi photographed the Tunisian and Egyptian revolutions and the uprising and war in Libya. His work is published in Le Monde Magazine, VSD, Paris Match, Time Magazine and The Wall Street Journal.

RE: American & French journalists killed in Syria
Probably killed by Al-Queda working with the British Empire to keep stirring up even more crap in the Middle East. After all the British Empire has been doing this crap since the late 19th Century or longer.

Clue.

Sorry for the loss of Human life, but you cant really call them reporters, at best they were propoganda spreaders, not journalists in the "real" sense of the word.

I am sure once upon a time they probably were before they were indoctrinated into the system that killed them.

End

Which of her reports would you like to question?

Take your pick, there are no truly real journalists working for mainstream media anymore, we saw this through the Libya charade, also afghan, iraq you name it.

No, they weren't questioning who was doing the shelling.

Listen to the reports posted.

I dont think there is any suggestion the rebels have that kind of heavy firepower.

Rec, for all your impartiality shown before, i find you only seriously documenting the one side here. One mans reporter is another mans spy. Perhaps its an issue of the fundamental differences between a journalist and a reporter.

i still admire your tireless work, regardless.

There's another side to document here?

Someone else is going to have to go digging for evidence Marie Colvin was some kind of asset. Cheers
