TEPCO: Not Enough Money To Handle Fukushima Nuclear Reactor 4 Problems
http://www.infowars.com/tepco-not-enough...-problems/
Quote:To put it simply, the nuclear fuel rods in reactor 4 are sitting inside of a pool of water that is preventing them from melting down completely and release massive amounts of radiation far beyond what already has been released.
The structural integrity of the building has been damaged so greatly that it appears that the reactor 4 building is leaning and officials around the world, including US senators, are warning even a minor earthquake could make it collapse.
If the water leaks out of the pool or the reactors come into open contact with the air there will be devastating consequences for all of humanity.
Besides Gundersen’s assertion that TEPCO doesn’t have enough money to deal with the problem, there have also been reports in the Japanese media that TEPCO isn’t dealing with the situation as they should because the cost would hurt their stock price.
Fukushima Nuclear Fuel Leaking Into Groundwater, Tepco Says Barrier Too Expensive, Will Hurt Stock Price
Quote:Hiroaki Koide, an assistant professor at the Kyoto University says melted fuel from inside the Fukushima nuclear reactor has melted through the containment vessel and is lying on the concrete foundations, sinking into the ground below. Japanese government officials have echoed this statement and have called on TEPCO to build an underground concrete barrier beneath the reactor which would be the only way to stop the molten fuel that is now leaking into the groundwater.
TEPCO so far is refusing to do so because the cost of the project will be over 100 billion yen. TEPCO is debating whether containing the radiation is worth more than its stock price resisting call to build the barrier because agreeing to the plan would make the company appear to have excess liabilities which would in turn cause their stock price to drop.

What is more important? All life in the Northern Hemisphere or the stock price of an important corporation? To a business type of person the answer is obvious.

RE: TEPCO: Not Enough Money To Handle Fukushima Nuclear Reactor 4 Problems
Well then maybe it's time for an international cooperative effort, since getting the thing buried is in everyone on the planet's best interests. F*** Tepco, the plant is trashed, it's time to deal with it, long past time. What Tepco says now is irrelevant in terms of the survival of the northern hemisphere, perhaps the world..........
I'm reminded of the phrase "not with a bang, but with a whimper...." for some reason.

By the way, it is my true opinion that Tepco executives need to be executed for their crimes........after all, they've only set in motion an ELE. Seize the damned company and go from there.......

the time for an international cooperative effort was a year ago
and now
something needs to be done. The senator that visited had strong words for the terrible situation there and the need for an international effort.
I can't believe that Russia and China are not scrambling to do what they can as well...
Being their neighbors and all - as are we.
It's shameful and idiotic that there is not an ongoing intellectual exchange and mutual cooperative effort to contain and remedy the situation.
I'm appalled and saddened but somehow not surprised. The lack of an international effort on the GOM oil gusher situation - and I believe there were numerous offers from countries such as Iran, Netherlands, etc, to help out in any way they could - but we refused....
Idiocracy much?

i've been horrified from the start that the global community did not take a hand in this.
it all seemed so scripted. it's been stupid and lame all along and i don't think it was an accident. i think this is just how the homicidal maniacs running this planet want it. they probably have secret meds to guard them against the death it is spewing out.

The scientists most upset are those who have studied the effects of radiation on health. I’ll say it again, so its really clear: we are in big trouble.

The most preliminary reports of soil contamination are starting to come in from the USGS, who has seemed reluctant to share this information. Los Angeles, California, Portland, Oregon, and Boulder, Colorado, so far have the highest radioactive particle contamination out of the entire US.
That being said, every single city tested across the country showed contamination from Fukushima. What is even more alarming, however, about the numbers coming in, is that they are from samples taken April 5th, of last year.
The Tokyo Electric Power Company, or TEPCO, has only recently confirmed that there were three meltdowns, and they have been ongoing, unabated, for thirteen months, and no effort has been made to contain them."
Thanks Astrochik for keeping up on this.
