To all the folks that DON'T get it.....this is MANDATORY money ON TOP OF YOUR OTHER TAXES that has to come out of your check for health care. This is the VERY shit we left the old country to create this new one for! To get away from the f*cking EXCESSIVE BULL SHIT TAXES!!!!!

No one is respondingbecause the rest of know the truth, we did our homework and came to know that the only people that will be'taxed' are those that can afford to but refuse to buy insurance. No one else is bothered by this so why are you? Are you one ofthe freeloaders who will use the health care system and not pay for it? doomed

BTW, I never answer my door. And I'm rarely where they think I should be too.

Really, this is going to be quite a magic trick for them . . . assuming any of it will matter in 2.5 years from now.

The crap has been posted since we need to pass it to know what's in it. 3 days ago,when it was announced there were already 13k new pages of tax law written around it, nobody cared. They still haven't explained how the 47% who don't pay tax will be affected. They have no problem making those that can pay out of pocket for their procedures, (the way it used to be) pay the fine or get something they don't need.

So instead of trying to help people become MORE self reliant, they instead have made people rely or die by gov more.

The law allows the IRS to withhold tax refunds to collect the penalty, and most filers get refunds. This year, 77 percent of the 135 million individual income tax returns processed by the IRS qualified for a refund. The average refund: $2,707.

For those who don't qualify for a refund, a stern letter from the IRS can be effective, even if it doesn't come with the threat of civil or criminal penalties, said Elizabeth Maresca, a former IRS trial attorney who supervises the Tax & Consumer Litigation Clinic at the Fordham University law school.
"Most people pay because they're scared, and I don't think that's going to change," Maresca said.

On the newer medicaid forms, in the box of text to read before you sign, it states that they can make claims against your estate for costs incurred.
