This week the House of Representatives will consider a provision to House Agricultural Appropriations Bill that will fundamentally undermine the concept of judicial review. Hidden under the guise of a “Farmer Assurance Provision” (Section 733), the provision strips the rights of federal courts to halt the sale and planting of genetically engineered crops during the legal appeals process.

In the past, legal advocates have successfully won in court the right to halt the sale and planting of unapproved GMO crops while the approval of those crops is under review by a federal judge. This dangerous new House provision, which were calling the Monsanto Protection Act, would strip judges of their constitutional mandate to protect consumer rights and the environment, while opening up a floodgate of planting of new untested genetically engineered crops, endangering farmers, consumers and the environment.

I resent signing these petitions, shouldn't need to, and they don't care about them.

But it's easy to do, so might as well.

-But also-

I think calling your rep has a better effect, and recommend people do that often.

They can't ignore it. Call the local number, make somebody write down your "requests" and if they have to transfer you to DC, it's on their dime.

I always ask them where they stand first:
"I wanted to know congressman __________'s stance on HR________.

Then they have top find somebody who knows, and that's the person to give "instructions" to. "I don't want him to vote in favor of this."

Or whatever.

Don't forget, you're the boss.

We can debate the relative merits of signing the petition, or lack thereof of. But, the bottom line is that taking any action is better than doing nothing. Perhaps sign the petition, and contact your Congressperson.

What we need, is a complete list of all monsanto employees. It should be published, and put on bill-boards everywhere. They should be inconvenienced at every opportunity in every possible way, in their private lives. They should get protesting/visits at their residence, to inconvenience their neighbors too.

Their children should be made aware of the evil f*cks that their parents work for, and should be convinced that monsanto is a threat to humanity.

They should get notice that the food they order in restaurants will possibly be spat upon, and the service bill they get from plumbers, electricians, and carpenters will likely quadruple. They should subtly be discriminated against and humiliated at every turn.

Their lives should be relentlessly disrupted to the point where they are forced to live, work, eat, and do schooling at monsanto compounds.

Forgive me for being frank, but, this is the only way that we can fight this entrenched evil. And if we succeed here, we can apply these same peaceful protesting/pressure methods to TSA employees. Make their working conditions so miserable, that nobody would work there.

Dear Congressman,

A company named Monsanto has been trying to rape me in the ass for almost 15 years now. In fact, they want to rape all of our asses and the environment too! I don't know about you, but I don't want to be ass raped by some corporation that is hellbent on poisoning our food supply. Think of your children's asses too! The butt raping has to stop, sir. Put an end to Monsanto's ass raping endeavors and help protect our environment and our livers from the dangers of GMO's. If Monsanto isn't stopped, we'll all be butt hurt eventually, and our children's children's butts will be genetically mutated with three butt cheeks and two anuses. Do you want that to happen, sir?
