I've been to a couple of shooting scenes, and It's surprising how much it can take to kill someone, but how little it can take (sometimes) to stop them.

Man, I reckon unless you got lucky, all those stinging little slaps would just piss you off and make you run AT the guy in close quarters.
For a handgun, to kill people? I reckon you'd want something bigger than that.
Not that I know shit all about it really chuckle

A can of Wasp Spray would be better then a .22

While I would prefer my Glock to a 22lr in a confrontation a 22lr in the hands of a skilled user with good ammo is hardly "wasp spray".

The CCI Velocitor is a great ammo and is what i keep my Rugers loaded with.

Excellent choice of ammo for your "can of wasp spray"

I've seen British Porn, our penises are more than adequate by comparison.

They'd have to be. That is, after all, where your brains are housed.

this is a insert device to go into a flare gun, which needs no paperwork:

i would look at their other model for defense

certainly not the best choice, but a cheap option

RE: The .22 thread
Ruger makes some of the highest quality firearms on the market. Way over built for long life. .22 lr is one of the most underrated rounds out there. For me it's the go to for most anything. Easy to stockpile, deadly at short to medium range. Little signature. Subsonics are great too if you want to be discreet. Not sure how quiet they are in auto pistols, but they are quieter than a pellet gun in a 10/22. But just as loud as a 9 mm in a revolver, well, comparable. You have the right idea. .22 kills more people in America than any other round. Probably due to its affordability and it's dirrrty ballistics. It likes to bounce around when it hits bone.

Give us some slack, Tommy. We dont have as many cameras to keep us safe as you lot over there.

RE: The .22 thread
while .22 are both lethal and cheap. I would not, I repeat I would not use one as a defensive weapon. At bare minimum I would not consider anything smaller than 9mm for self defense. The .22 just lacks the power to stop someone cold in their tracks.

While I don't know anyone that would want to get shot with a .22 it just does not pack the punch needed to stop someone instantly.

I don't mean to take the wind out of your sales or anything, I just want to see you make a good choice. Do this, buy a couple .22 for practice and plinking. You can have a NEW 9mm Glock for less than $500, that's not too bad. No need to spend over a grand on a Kimber, get a Glock. They are cheap, reliable and accurate. Did I mention they are reliable?

oh, also DO NOT BUY A CHEAP GUN. It will be worthless and you will be left feeling ripped off and frustrated. If you can't have what you want now, wait and save your money. Go to a gun show, many people will be selling their own collections there. This is the best place to make deals.

WOW
does that shotgun insert require paperwork? cause thats quite a f*cking loophole if it doesnt. when i found out scatterguns are legal in texas, i thought i had found my weapon until i read the price. also messy, but THIS would be a nice lowcost backup just in case a spread came in handy. thank you VERY MUCH for sharing, i had no idea this existed.
