That's painting a lot of folks with too broad a brush.

I really don't know what any of my ancestors felt about the Bible...it was never discussed.
In fact, I vaguely remember sometime in my youth asking about the big thick book with the arabic-themed drawings in it, and being deftly steered away from the conversation.

I still remember my first encounter with evangelicals...I had just been drafted, on my first pass into town, not knowing what to do with my time, and stumbled into a coffee shop (...waaaay before there were Starbucks and such) and they had free donuts.
I also had never encountered Jehovah Witlesses or Mormons or streetcorner preachers, so was totally unprepared when some shiny beaming-faced young suits sat down with me and wanted to know if I wanted to discuss philosophy.

As long as the donuts kept coming, I didn't care, and had time to waste...and had several notions concerning philosophy...I believe I was into Zen Buddhism at the time...

It started off well enough with question and answer, but in no time at all, they both had these books out with really thin paper, and started reading real earnestly out of them.

I swear, to my ears it sounded like duck quacking...
Quack, quack, quackity quack 13:14 quack-quack quack...

I first looked at the coffee like maybe they had put something in it...
But I didn't feel funny...just that their talking made no language sense whatsoever.

What I discovered about cosmology, I dug around in many different things, after many years, before I settled on what I now espouse.

How long do U think christian bashing has been goin on?? since the advent of the christian maybe lol Im a religious person but mainstream christianity was takin over at its very birth from the very root it was branched off n the fake became fameous but true christianity is outthere waiting for all to find as a christian I hope U know the truth and give freely of it an whatever U do dont stop fighting the good fight but be humble as U go make friends first n share a comment or 2 but dont bully or harrass Ive seen that way to much of :chuckle:suposed ta be christians..
