The Omen: Red-Tail Hawk
Advertisement
So I have this deck on the hill behind my house which I enjoy doing my homework at. It's covered in shade by some gnarly trees. Crows had claimed the spot, up until a month ago when I picked up some Red-Tail Hawk feathers and tied them to the tree branches. They haven't been around since. Anyway, today while working on an essay, a Red-Tail Hawk came and landed right over my head. It was like the sound of a a strong wind swooping in and suddenly stopping. When I looked up, he lifted up his tail and shat. The force had projected it enough so that it missed me but I still squirmed like a little girl. A few moments later he realized I was there and flew away.

So I'm thinking back and I remember reading somewhere that birds were both good and bad Omens in the ancient days. Just wondering if there are any practitioners of the Old Religion around who might be able familiar with that and could tell me what my Hawk experience means...

Thanks in advance.

I don't think it means good news if he was going to do his business on your head. chuckle

Just goggle totem Red Hawk.

You're wonderful.

I had just finished my second draft and was worried about how my paper would be interpreted. It's on the Holocaust. The bird just came out of nowhere. He was majestic. (I say he because of size. Females are quite bigger)

The red tail hawk can be a way to see your reflection of sense of honor. Deeds you have done with no witnesses. What you see when you look in the mirror.

You have done something good and you have your honor.

And good on you for taking the time and having the wisdom to notice.

They say that patience is it's own
REWARD,
while this is wise and true,
with enough patience comes
COMPASSION
and this always seem
TO BE THE ANSWER.

When you said you picked up some Hawk feathers and put them in the tree. Where did you find them?

There are some huge Eucalyptus trees that they perch on about 200 yards from my place. While taking my dog for a walk, I passed under them and found the feathers lying on the ground. They don't nest in these trees, but I often see them hoping from branch to branch as if they're playing with each other.

I would say the red tail hawk is definitely one of your totems. He is trying to get your attention. The fact that he has given you feathers and trying to poo on your head is definitely out of the ordinary. I would definitely read up on him.

Ive seen a hawk swoop down out of nowhere and grab a pigeon off of a fence, and then dive thru a tree. It was awesome...

It took about 3 seconds.

That's very mind-blowing, considering the things on my mind recently and the position I'm currently at in life.

Animals always come with a message that turns us inward to examine where we are.

trust it. Jhikpghf
