][ would like to point out that there are several ancient races that target the 2012 dateline, not just the Maya. However, in late 2010 science daily publicly announced that after much consideration that our manipulated gregorian calendar does NOT sync with the Mayan long count calender & can be off by as much as 50~100yrs.

We use a different method of tracking TIME than the ancient races did, and the gregorian calendar has been modified more than once since it's incorporation as our flawed standard.

The Maya, and other ancient races, tracked the stars as their point of ref to create their calendars.

While there are many races targeting the 2012 dateline as a very important mark with varied descriptions of what is to transpire, that isn't positively OUR 2012. The one factor that does tie them together as being correct is the crossing of the galactic center. The alignment of the planets with the Sun and the center of the dark rift to align with the black hole will be the key factor. The ancients depicted this as a snake swallowing it's tail with the head being the black hole respectively.
