RE: The Put Up or Shut Up Ron Paul challenge.
After reading the majority of what is in this thread and after nearly passing out 738 times from laughing so hard (and wiping the tears from my cheeks) here is what I would do if elected President:
1) Shut down and imprison the Communist Party of The United States. This includes *all* supporters, fellow travelers, Conspiracy Theorists and Ron Paul. If compliance is not met, they get bombed.
2) Reactivate the House Un-American Activities Committee and make sure they have a mandate to toss out *anyone* who is engaged in Un-American Activities. Supporting Ron Paul, engaging in Conspiracy Theorism with the ideal of changing the government and the like.
3) Cause to come into effect a irrevocable Executive Order for the purpose of forcing corporations to bring down prices to a level where everybody can afford it. This includes pharmaceutical companies too. No compliance means the corporation *will* be shut down and their ill-gotten gains be given to charity and the corporate owners imprisoned.
4) Reform the Marijuana laws. Change them so that possession of so much as an ounce of marijuana earns 420 years in federal prison with no chance of parole. This will remain fixed. No changes acceptable. The whole "medical marijuana" nonsense will be outlawed as well. Marijuana is an evil drug and the effects are never good. No matter what. Other drugs such as cocaine, crack cocaine, horse and the like will be similarly changed. As such, anyone in possession of marijuana or any other drug will get 420 years upon conviction. All loopholes in the laws will also be fixed, making it rightly indefensible unless certain mitigating circumstances can be proved. And that will be extremely tough to do.
5) Balance the budget and cut spending to the point where people can get some of the money back.
6) No domestic intelligence collection operations of any sort *unless* it is extremely necessary and is completely warranted and not used in a manner to harass or harm those who are conducting themselves in a manner conducive to freedom and innocence. The FBI, CIA, DIA, NSA/CSS and the Military Intelligence agencies of the Services will be compelled to cooperate with this as well.
7) Reform the United States Corporations and certain quasi-official agencies. The Post Office, Federal Reserve are quasi-official agencies. The Post Office was separated from the Federal Budget, but does not make it a separate agency per se. The reform will include allowances to keep these agencies and corporations intact and not to worry about potential collapse. AMTRAK (The National Railroad Passenger Corporation) and UNICOR (Federal Prison Industries, Incorporated) are two well-known United States Corporations.
8) Direct that all Foreign Policy situations will result in the fair and equal treatment of all foreign nations, to recognize their sovereignity and to render any assistance they may request. There will be *no* stationing of any of our Troops overseas unless there is a legitimate and necessary reason to do so.
9) Immediately and without remorse imprison those who would engage in any form of Activism in any way, shape, form or manner. If people wish to protest, they shall do so by obtaining the proper permits, and conduct themselves in a peaceful manner, with no signs, yelling, shouting or any like violent manner, and shall refrain from inciting others to do so. Activism in a free society is asinine. You want something done, do it the proper way. Gather evidence. Treat people with respect and politeness and you'll get your voice heard.
10) Ban and prohibit any and all forms of propaganda. This involves propaganda involving 9/11 Truthers, Conspiracy Theorists, and the like. If someone is going to produce something that they feel is about Conspiracy Theories, they will be required to allow the other side to voice their opinion, make statements and present evidence so as to prohibit the "One View is The One Above All and Everything Else Should be Rejected" doctrine adhered to by the Conspiracy Theorists.
11) Force the media to quit their nonsense of sensationalizing the news, allowing it to be reported as is, even if it gets super boring to read. The people will be informed on the progress of all Federal Matters unless it is extremely classified, and newscasts will be detailed and provide news as it is and not sensationalized.
That is the gist of what I would do. I am sure there is going to be disagreements, I am sure I will be called to task about what I have written, but this *is* a free country and this is my opinion and what I would do. Simple as that. If you have anything better, then fine.

I love how Paulaholics demand to "put up or shut up"
when they're the ones who
can't do either one.

RE: The Put Up or Shut Up Ron Paul challenge.
What an incredible load of BS. Have you even read the Constitution in your life time? You violate just about every bit of the Bill of Rights with this one. This isn't America you want, it's Stalinist Russia times 10. No freedom of anything unless you have the proper government permit and even then it's revokable if you blink wrong or an official party member overseeing the scene has a bad hair day.

A fine example of the authoritarian mindset. Ban communism while mandating corporations make everything affordable. Outlaw everything I don't approve of, and put those doing that in prison forever.
After 8 pages it should be obvious that no one is going to attempt to show how or why Ron Paul's ideas won't work.

Charity based healthcare system: Will never work, and you know it.
No minimum wage:Corporations will start to compete with china and their 2 dollar an hour wages. You really want to go that route?
Separation of church and state gone: You want the zeaots back n school, university and anywhere else? Ever seen Saudi arabia?
Abolish harassment laws: Yeah, we all know women who get harrassed will just leave and get another jod...seriously Paul you are a moron.
Getting rid of the EPA: Havent you people learned from the Gulf catastrophy 2 years ago? You all screamed why doesnt Obama do something? He Told BP they should get rid of the mess, and look how wonderfull they done it.
Corporations do NOT care for Pollution, and if you think you can sue a multibillion dollar corporation without going bancrupt and or die before the process is over you are an iidiot.
States rights: What is worse then one giant government? 50 governments who dont give a shit for each other.
Governors are easy to be paid off, competition will choke the smaller and poorer states and the states WILL have different laws, more laws and dumber laws.
end the fed: catastrophy for the dollar, cause the rest of the planet will get rid of it,letting your little 50 states country implode cause you import everything, without reserve currency status , its OVER.
Free market: How many free markets have their been on this planet? Exactly 0 , cause everytime there was one, the first thing that happens is that the criminals take over.
End war on drugs: Its a good and a terribly bad idea. First, if you legalize drugs, nothing really will happen, but do you really think the incredible influential drug cartels will just vanish? The job of thousands of drugdealers gone with no way to go?
End the war: Its always good to end a war, but with a MIC that influential and overbloated its crazy to just stop everything.
thousands of soldiers back home , doing nothing will cause massive unemloyment, and the influeence of the MIC will make it hard to do anything.
Gold standard: Without Gold and other precious metals its just dumb.
Have i forgotten something?
Oh , no taxes....thats great mister Paul, your infrastructure doesnt suck and is old as f*ck anyway, and private constructors will not just take cheap shit to get a few more pennies...
Why dont you guys split up into 50 different countries, that would be better then a Ron Pauls presiddency...oh sorry it would actually be the same!

Ummm... The reason why Ron Paul's ideas won't work is because he *is* a politician. And anyone knows a politician is a Professional Liar. You could debate this thing straight into the ground and it won't matter. Once Ron Paul is elected he isn't going to implement any of these things, he'll switch parties, go Communist and America goes Red.
And the things I would do as President isn't authoritarian. I would *never* compromise freedom on any level. Activism goes out the window and becomes extremely illegal because there is no point having it in a Democracy *unless* it is for the changing of the Government from a Democracy to a Communist one. There is also a good reason for permits too. It has nothing to do with oppression or anything along those lines. It just isn't. You gather with a permit, remain peaceful as it is stated in the Constitution and the authorities *will* leave you alone. And if you are acting in a manner that is *not* peaceful, the authorities respond. Its that simple.
I knew this would open a large interdimensional can of worms, and be viewed as something authoritarian. But it isn't. I don't like authoritarianism any more than I do Communism. I would rather protect American Freedoms than allow them to be taken away because some act in a manner that is unconstitutional.
I always find it extremely interesting how the Conspiracy Theorists/Communists always seem to be all in line and following their party line. Any disagreement and your labelled a "traitor" a "Government Supporter", a "Federal Mouthpiece", completely asleep or stupid as hell, or any of the combination above. That is *not* Freedom at all. That is Authoritarianism or even Communism. Its ridiculous. f*ck the New World Order concept. To hell with the asinine Globalist Nightmare. They can go to hell. There I said it.

Ron Paul was born before World War 2 even started.
He barely knows what electricity or running water is,
much less nukes or computers.

RE: The Put Up or Shut Up Ron Paul challenge.
Yet more "It Won't Work" mantra without explanation. Explain to me why it won't work.
Health care costs are through the roof because of all the middle men and insurances that are 'required' for a doctor to do anything. Eliminate all of that and you can go back to having a 'pay as you go' system as there was before the invention of insurance scams and HMOs. A flat 10 dollars for a visit that covers pretty much everything at that visit with no hidden costs or inflation of the bill for a simple check up. That's what we used to have (modified for inflation) before the HMOs and insurance companies got involved. Now it's a 20+ dollar co pay and the rest gets billed and if the insurance company decides you didn't need that check up you get stiffed with the remainder and if you don't pay your credit gets ruined. Health care should be between you and the doctor. The insurance company, government 'affordability' panel that BO wants, HMOs and assorted other middlemen taking their cut of the financial action should not be involved in deciding your treatment.
And the criminals are already in charge. They have control of the EPA, the FDA, the FBI, the CIA and pretty much every other department of the bloated and over reaching federal government. These criminals are shredding the Constitution and Bill of Rights with every stroke of a pen and quick draw of a SWAT side arm.
As Ron Paul says and a significant portion of the population of America are realizing, there are things the Federal gov just does not have the authority to do and if it's not written into their job description (The Constitution) then they shouldn't be allowed to do that thing.
When the federal level of government was initiated it was with the purpose of easing trade between the states who were within their own boundaries sovereign entities, normalizing laws along with weights and measures and to provide a very limited few other services as well as to provide for the common defense.
Where in the Constitution does it say the government can order you to purchase health care from a private company or face fines and jail time? Where in the Constitution does it say that the government can suspend all our natural rights at it's own convenience and whim? Where in the Constitution does it say that the government can kidnap it's own citizens and hold them indefinitely without charges or jury trial but on a 'guess' or 'hunch'?
And don't give me that crap about duly passed laws by congress. Congress has forgotten it's duty to the American people and it's limits as well. Constitutional principle of law states that if a law does not pass the Constitutional litmus test then it is null and void as if it had never existed. That would include at least 95% and probably ranging up to 99% of the laws on the books. That would also include many of the departments that currently over staff our federal government.
EPA, you jest right? EPA not only allowed the GOM to happen they helped and are helping with the cover up of ongoing issues with the oil and corexit and health problems with the food chain.
The gold standard is an easy way to instruct on what a precious metals tied monetary system would look like because we actually had a gold standard at one point. Once we finally get rid of the debt based Federal Reserve mafia cartel the US can go back to printing real money that is interest free. Our so called 'national debt' is a fancy way of saying we are paying exorbitant interest rates (protection money?) to a mafia cartel for a loan of something that does not belong to that cartel to begin with.
And despite what the Federal Reserve and IMF's enforcement arm locally known as the IRS tells you, the majority of the taxes that are being forced out of the American people are not legal or Constitutional. This from legal experts, insider whistle blowers and constitutional experts. The 16th does not confer new taxing powers upon the government and even the IRS's own code does not make your average American liable for a tax on their wages. Look up some of those words in a legal dictionary and then scroll through the portions of the codes that the IRS claims makes you liable and you'll realize that it does not define you. Find out what "INCOME" really means.
The war on drugs is a failure. Prohibition does not work. Plain and simple. Instead of treating an addiction as a criminal problem we should be treating it as a health issue. Instead of incarcerating people for a weed and confiscating all their belongings (Which happens pre trial and then you have to sue the police to get it back once your acquitted of charges. Police auctions anyone?) we should be treating an addiction as an addiction with treatment and counseling. Driving under the influence could be handled the same way as driving drunk and stealing in order to get drug money could be dealt with the same way it is now as a theft crime. Remove the criminality from the act and eventually the criminals will lose their hold and power. If they want to continue on their chosen course then they'll end up legitimate businessmen paying what taxes they own and the like. No more gangland behavior because there will be no need for it.
Legalize hemp and decriminalize the rest and you can clear out all the prisoners who are there for non violent crimes such as possession. That right there would save the government billions yearly.
Separation of church and state is actually an injunction against forming a state sponsored religion. Historically speaking, the only thing that the separation aspect was there for was to keep tax money from being funneled into a church. Being religious is actually no crime but bashing people with that religion could be considered one under certain circumstances. And no one seems to take that seriously considering we have plenty of people still claiming this is a 'Christian' nation and ramming their religion down our throats every chance they get. It wasn't even legal for my people to practice our religion on the reservations until the 1960s and we aren't going to go back to hiding it in basements and cellars ever again. None of the pagan crowd that I know are willing to do so either.
The only reason I can really think of for all of you claiming that Ron Paul's ideas won't work is because you are profiting from the current criminal climate in DC in some way or another. Either your part of the police state infrastructure, you have a cushy government job, you are getting bailout money from the mafioso or some other means of gain from the system. Anyone with two brain cells to rub together and a shred of morality can see that the current system is unsustainable as well as viciously destructive.
It's a mathematical certainty that the fiat dollar is going to crash. It's what we do about it that is important. Are we going to replace that with more of the same or are we going to go to something that actually worked before it was stolen away from us?
Ron Paul has taken what worked historically and constitutionally and turned it into a rally cry for all of us who are fed up with more intrusion into our lives than should ever be allowed by anyone. His message will not go away and neither will those of us who appreciate it. We The People will not be silenced ever again.
So Austrian Archie, give me in depth explanations on why it won't work instead of just saying it won't work. I think it can and have provided explanation and example on why it can. Do the same instead of sneering.
Put up or Shut up.
Arch Phoenix Wrote:Charity based healthcare system: Will never work, and you know it.
