Martin had no idea who this guy was. For all we know Zimmerman attacked Martin first, Martin got the upper hand, and then Zimmerman shot him dead.

Your forgetting ... there was an eyewitness. Until that person speaks you don't know the whole story. None of us do. We only know what they (the media) want to tell us.

I think they (the police etc) should come out and make an official statement and set the record straight instead of letting a bunch of heresay continue to stoke the fire.

I do find it very odd that the media chose to use the photo's of Martin when he was 14.

When I first heard about this I thought he was a little kid but that is the way the media was portraying it. Shame on them.

I can't wait for this to all blow over. I'm hoping it does so with no violent repercussions, but I think with the way it has been handled, that is imminent. Very sad, how they turned a tragedy into this.

I listened to the 9-1-1 call by Zimmerman with no preconceived notions and he his saying f*cking coat not coon as some people say. It seems to me either he was having trouble zipping up his coat or something like that or he was struggling to get his gun that was concealed. At that point he already believed Trayvon was carrying something. Probably a gun. Zimmerman did say " he is reaching for his waistband" also which is just where someone would imagine where someone would be reaching for a gun.

You notice the original police report says 'shots' plural. There's only one hole in Trayvon, where did the other shot go, and when was it fired?
The police tried to cover that one up by saying that they had the gun with no bullets in it, and the clip. At the time, the police, and Zimmerman, were trying to make it sound like there was only one shot fired, the one that went into Trayvon.
But, the gun was a semi automatic, meaning, that, if you fire a bullet, you get another bullet in the chamber.
In other words, you can't have a semiautomatic with a clip, and after one shot, have an empty gun.
But the police claim to have an empty gun.
That means that there was another shot fired. No one seems to be very interested in that fact.
So, when was that shot fired, where is the spent bullet, and where is the empty casing?
If anyone is actually interested in facts, they need to investigate the facts.
All the Black teens I know, when they see a gun, no matter what race person is handling it, they will run for the hills. No body is dumb enough to fight a gun with no weapon.
Again, we need to know, and find out, when Zimmerman fired that first shot. And, if possible, we need to know why he fired it.
Trayvon was speaking to his girlfriend on the cell phone when all of the action started. There must be a lot of evidence existing on that cell phone call recording.

The investigator that the atty. hired got the phone records pulled so this is what we know:

JUAN GONZALEZ: And you’ve had to hire your own investigators because of the terrible job that has been done so far by authorities in ascertaining the facts in this case?

NATALIE JACKSON: Yes. And, you know, I don’t know if it’s a terrible job or just they thought it was inconsequential to do the job. You know, there’s—whether or not it was important to do or it was bungled, we don’t know. But we had to go out and investigate this case. We hired an investigator that got the phone records. And once we saw Trayvon’s phone record, because he was on the—he had his phone with him, and we saw that he was on the phone when this incident purportedly happened. We contacted the person he was on the phone with. It was a young girl. And she told us that she heard Zimmerman approach Trayvon. And this is very extraordinary, because she and Trayvon—according to the phone records, there was a phone call at 7:12. The phone call lasted for four minutes. That would make it 7:16. According to police records, they were on the scene at 7:17, and Trayvon was dead. So, this young girl is a very important witness.
