Touche, I agree with this statement to a point. When I was reading "Atlas Shrugged" however, I perceived it more as not ever limiting ones capabilities or aspirations rather than selfishness. I do agree with the ego part, but do not necessarily see that as bad, even though I would not want to be like that myself. I feel like that attitude could often be good at getting things accomplished, even though it may make someone an asshole. Great points though!

Think about TARP; that was the worst combo (or the best for some) between Socialism and Capitalism - socializing loses of the privileged ones while letting them privatize their profits. Banksters made massive profits on account of the Housing Bubble; when the Bubble’s burst their losses were covered on taxpayers’ account.

Yes, we should be "selfish" enough to stand against corporate welfare whores and WS leeches robbing us.

At the very end of that interview listen to what he says about CERTAIN CORPORATIONS and favored business interests being guaranteed profits by the government because through subsidies, no bid contracts, and corporate wellfare they are given an unfair advantage in the market place as well as through regulations that put their competition out of business by creating an environment where they cannot compete.
