There's nothing that isn't corrupted in this country. Is there?

Anyone? Can you think of ONE f*cking thing that is not tainted by criminal or unethical acts?

I just love the new normal of how it's ok to get screwed by the contracts of internet, cable tv, cell phone co's, banks... pretty much all big companies, these days. Their contracts are so one-sided. These are not even contracts, they are terms and conditions given to you. You are not a party to a contract, you are a consumer and they are telling you what their rules are. You can't negotiate with them, it's their way or the highway. This really puts the consumer of any product at a disadvantage.

Does anyone remember way back when, if you had a problem financially, you call up the people you pay money to every month and they'd work out a payment plan with you? Banks would let you pay interest only for a month or 2, until you could catch up. Shit happens and sometimes people get behind. Give them a decent chance, many will try and pay their debts. Who wants to lose their car if they need to go to work in it? I used to do some bill collecting and being kind really helped everyone involved, rather than being an asshole toward them right off the bat. Look at how debt collection is now.

Just a festering mass of corrupted boils running this country. I want to pop them with our Constitution and our Bill of Rights!

our govt is not different..the only difference is it doesn't have money and support to torture enough people..but it still tries...in fact our govt gives maximum trouble if you are poor...man we have world's largest corrupt government bureaucracy in world...our traffic cops openly take bribes,doctors routinely conduct unnecessary operations,tests;hospital workers routinely ignore poor patients and they die.lawyers routinely cheat their clients,we need so many govt papers to survive..we have to pay lot of bribes to middlemen,our army brass earns money in coffin scam for dead soldiers,our politicians have already sold their soul to highest bidder

What are the common denominators behind corruption? If you look to see what promotes it then you can work on changing those things and then people wont be conditioned, forced or even tempted towards corruption. It's not just this country but the different cultures and beliefs can help you see what works or doesn't.

One obvious common denominators is the capitalist mindset which promotes selfishness, greed and opens the door to a cascade of corruptions such as theft, bribery and blackmail. It promotes the most selfish, power hungry and those with the least moral conscience or care for how their decisions negatively impact others both short or long-term. An example is Monsanto and their experiments on all the worlds flora and fauna. Or the oil, gas and power companies that put money over environmental safety/sustainability and human health.

One solution might be that all basic living essentials such as food, housing, healthcare, education and energies be distributed or governed under a different money system and not subject to capitalistic corruption. All non-essentials could still be profit driven.

That's like people having their mental and physical health stolen from them and then being charged again to be experimented on again to try and get their health back. When you purchase healthcare, medical care or its pharma products- why is there usually no guarantee that it won't immediately or eventually kill you or cause you additional harm that you might not even realize till it's too late or your kids turn out deformed or now carry a genetic predisposition for a disorder?
