A bow signifies the doctrine of truth; and this from the darts, arrows, or other missiles, which denote the doctrinal things from which and with which those in especial fight who are spiritual, and who were thence formerly called shooters with the bow.
[3] That a bow signifies the doctrine of truth is evident from the following passages. In Isaiah:--
God's arrows are sharp, and all His bows are bent, the hoofs of His horses are counted as rock, and His wheels as the whirlwind (Isaiah 5:28).
Here the truths of doctrine are treated of; arrows are spiritual truths; bows are doctrine; the horses' hoofs are natural truths; the wheels are their doctrine; and as these things have such a signification they are attributed to God, to whom they cannot be attributed except in a spiritual sense; for otherwise they would be empty words and unbecoming. In Jeremiah:--
The Lord hath bent His bow like an enemy, He hath stood with His right had as an adversary, and hath slain all that were pleasant to the eye in the tent of the daughter of Zion, He hath poured out His fury like fire (Lam. 2:4).
Here bow denotes the doctrine of truth, which appears to those who are in falsities as an enemy and as hostile; no other how can be predicated of the Lord. In Habakkuk:--
O Jehovah, Thou ridest upon Thy horses, Thy chariots of salvation, Thy bow will be made quite bare (Habakkuk 3:8, 9).
Here also the bow is the doctrine of good and truth. In Moses:--
They grieved him, and shot at him, the archers hated him, his bow abode in strength, and the arms of his hands were made strong by the hands of the Mighty One of Jacob; from thence is the Shepherd, the Stone of Israel (Gen. 49:23, 24);
where Joseph is spoken of. His bow denotes the doctrine of good and truth.
[4] In John:--
I saw and behold a white horse, and he that sat thereon had a bow, and there was given unto him a crown (Rev. 6:2).
The white horse denotes wisdom; he that sat thereon, the Word, as is said plainly in (Rev. 19:13), where the white horse is again treated of; and as he that sat thereon was the Word, it is evident that the bow is the doctrine of truth. In Isaiah:--
Who hath raised up righteousness from the east, and called him to his footsteps? he hath given nations before him, and made him to rule over kings; he gave them as dust to his sword, as the driven stubble to his bow (Isaiah 41:2);
where the Lord is treated of; the sword denotes truth; the bow, doctrine from Him. In the same:--
I will set a sign among them, and I will send such as escape of them unto the nations, to Tarshish, Pul, and Lud, that draw the bow, to Tubal and Javan (Isaiah 66:19).
They that draw the bow denote those who teach doctrine. The signification of Tarshish may be seen above (AC 1156); that of Lud (AC 1195, 1231), that of Tubal (AC 1151), and that of Javan (AC 1152, 1153, 1155).
[5] In Jeremiah:--
For the voice of the horseman and of him that shooteth the bow, the whole city fleeth; they have entered into clouds, and climbed up upon the rocks, the whole city is forsaken (Jeremiah 4:29).
The horseman denotes those who declare truth the bow, the doctrine of truth, which they who are in falsities flee from or fear. In the same:--
Set yourselves in array against Babel round about; all ye that bend the bow shoot at her, spare not with the arrow, for she hath sinned against Jehovah (Jeremiah 50:14, 29; 51:2, 3);
Where they that shoot, and bend the bow denote those who declare and teach the doctrine of truth.
Genesis 9:9
“Behold, I establish my covenant with you and your offspring after you, 10 and with every living creature that is with you, the birds, the livestock, and every beast of the earth with you, as many as came out of the ark; it is for every beast of the earth.
11 I establish my covenant with you, that never again shall all flesh be cut off by the waters of the flood, and never again shall there be a flood to destroy the earth.” 12 And God said, “This is the sign of the covenant that I make between me and you and every living creature that is with you, for all future generations:
13 I have set my bow in the cloud, and it shall be a sign of the covenant between me and the earth. 14 When I bring clouds over the earth and the bow is seen in the clouds,
15 I will remember my covenant that is between me and you and every living creature of all flesh. And the waters shall never again become a flood to destroy all flesh.
16 When the bow is in the clouds, I will see it and remember the everlasting covenant between God and every living creature of all flesh that is on the earth.”
17 God said to Noah, “This is the sign of the covenant that I have established between me and all flesh that is on the earth.”
The bow above in the ancient Greek is tik-so/tokso and the same as used in Rev 6:2
Looking at Revelation 6:2-8, you will notice:
The white horse has a 'Bow'.
The red horse has a 'Sword'.
The black horse has the 'Balances'.
The pale horse is 'Death with Hell following'.
Revelation 6:8b, states; “...power was given unto them over the fourth part of the earth, to kill with sword, and with hunger, and with death, and with the beasts of the earth.” There is no mention of a 'bow'. The "them" looks like it is referring to the last three.
I come bearing a rainbow, which is a weapon of Truth.
Quite to my surprise it can also be translated as "ark"
I knew none of this when I chose this avatar or name,
"it just seemed the proper way"

God has NEVER used the color white in any other way than to describe purity and
righteousness. The Rider on the white Horse had a bow; and a crown was given to him and He went forth conquering and to conquer. The language used to describe the weapon that the Rider had was a bow. Through the wars of the Old Testament the bow was a common instrument that was used. It was not described as any of our carnal weapons of this day and hour in which we are living.
Again, God promised Noah that He would never destroy the world by water anymore and His promise was sealed with the rainbow. Genesis 9:13 “I do set my bow in the cloud, and it shall be for a token of a covenant between me and the earth. 14. And it shall come to pass, when I bring a cloud over the earth, that the bow shall be seen in the cloud.” The Rider was given a crown and he went forth conquering and to conquer. God has no intention of ever giving a crown or power to the devil. This is totally foolish. God is never going to make a covenant or a pact with the Devil. The White Horse is the Holy Spirit carrying the full Word of God.
Now you know.
Zech 4:
6 Then he answered and spake unto me, saying, This is the word of the Lord unto Zerubbabel, saying,
Not by might, nor by power, but by my spirit, saith the Lord of hosts.
7 Who art thou, O great mountain? before Zerubbabel thou shalt become a plain: and he shall bring forth the headstone thereof with shoutings, crying, Grace, grace unto it.
8 Then the word of the Lord came to me: 9
“The hands of Zerubbabel have laid the foundation of this temple; his hands will also complete it. Then you will know that the Lord Almighty has sent me to you.
10 “Who dares despise the day of small things, since the seven eyes of the Lord that range throughout the earth will rejoice when they see the chosen capstone[a] in the hand of Zerubbabel?”
Psalm 118:22 The stone which the builders refused is become the head stone of the corner.
23 This is the Lord's doing; it is marvelous in our eyes.
24 This is the day which the Lord hath made; we will rejoice and be glad in it.
And here is the headstone of the corner of God's Temple on earth built by His Spirit, the knowledge of the Body of Christ that fills the whole universe.
