Worthless, Drunken New Zealanders at it again.
"It's going hand in hand with the whole craft beer industry that's growing rapidly despite the rest of the world struggling,"
http://news.msn.co.nz/nationalnews/85169...d-beers-it
Drink it up while all your mates in Christchurch are homeless.
Pathetic.
Worst culture on the PLANET.

SUGGEST THAT YOU GET YOUR FACTS STRAIGHT. A FEW BEERS IS A OK AND HEALTHY.
LOOK AT WHAT THE GOVERNMENT DOES IN NZ.
1. PRICES CIGS SKY HIGH
2. ENABLES ALCOHOL TO BE SOLD DIRT CHEAP AND EACH POOR NEIGHBOURHOOD HAS ITS OWN LIQUOR STORE WITH PLENTY OF STRONG CHEMICAL "MIXERS".
3. CAN GET DRUNK AS A LORD FOR LESS THAN THE COST OF A PACKET OF CIGS.
4. PROMOTE UNHEALTHY EATING, LOW FAT, FAT FREE, HIGH CARBS.
5. THE POOR BUY THIS AND DIE VERY YOUNG.
6. LOOK AT WHO THAT IS TARGETED AT.

I believe the OP is someone who was called Atlantean1, they like to pull peoples chain I believe and they have been banned multiple times under multiple names.
Their bluff was called on a thread about Auckland and unstable buildings and they did not take it well.
They are correct about our drinking problem in NZ, we are the third worst statistically in the world.
Comes from the days of six o'clock closing which was an initiative to stop heavy drinking and get husbands home.
What happened was people would leave work at 5 and go and drink as absolutely as much as possible in the one hour.
This is often the drink habits of our young people today, Kiwi's go out and get hammered as quickly as possible often having a bad time of it afterwards.
The drinking culture I was involved in as a young man was all about how much you could drink and what time we got home. On a Monday at school we would compare weekends [ 16-18 year olds] what time we go home and how much we drank.
More of an endurance event than drinking for pleasure, quite a hangover from an anti heavy drinking initiative.
I believe Russia and Norway [or sweden] are the two nations with worse drinking problems and one of those nations was a victim of the six O'clock closing experiment as well.
One of my older friends used to Manage Pubs in Christchurch and suggested to me the lack of good food and meals was partially responsible for the terrible state some people end up in with drinking on a near empty stomach.
I was always taught don't drink when thirsty, have a glass of water first.
The body only processes one 7 Oz glass of beer per hour so even when you stop drinking you will still have the last hours worth of drinking stacking up as well.
I used to take great pride in how much much I could drink without being impaired....A fools game.

I see someone else thought you were Lystra Strata who is also thought to be Tauranga, but really I see someone who desperately wants to have friends but has no idea how to go about it.
I will be your friend and give you a big hug if that is what you really want.

It's also #1 on the list of business friendly countries. I'm only planning on using it for visa bouncing as I await Aussie citizenship, but it'll make a nice diversion.

RE: Worthless, Drunken New Zealanders at it again.
How about making the festival a charity event, and sending donations to Christchurch in the form of beer? They won't mind being homeless so much with enough free beer. I wouldn't anyway.

GOOD RESPONSE GD BUT
DRINKING AND LACK OF JOB/LIFE INTEREST GO HAND IN HAND.
WHY CHEAP BOOZE BUT MOST EXPENSIVE CIGS.
WHY IS NZ GREEN MOST SOUGHT AFTER.
WHY AS A RESULT OF THE ABOVE DO THE MAORI (MARDI) HAVE SUCH A SHORT LIFE SPAN?
NEED DEEPER ANSWERS.

same topic threads posted by same op and very close to same time now merged
Chupi enjoys crumpled threads, drizzled with Balsamic vinegar, and Tiny likes Raw Trollmeat sushi-like.

sounds like we need a LOP beer tasting tour!

You would be more than welcome, I suggest the boutique breweries and the mainstream ones are swill made to be drunk quickly with little complexity to their flavors.
Macs Brewery is a good one lots of flavors and they Use local Nelson hops.
My local brewery makes something called "Good Bastards Beer"
There are also some very good vineyard tours here, Kiwi's favor White wine on the whole as we don't make a lot of good Red's here but there are some exceptions.
