Im tryin to figure out if when you were growing up, there was so much talk about the world ending and president problems. Basically i want to know if its all a cycle of some sort, repeating itself imminently or not!

The world has been ending since I was a kid,first it was the russians and nukes. Had a few years of peace,then it was y2k. Now we have 2012. Keep in mind,running in the background of other scenarios was always the "revelations" crap.
Reagan was the anti christ,because each of his names had 6 letters.
And I'm not even elderly.

adv. soon, shortly, in the very near future

hmmm... like waves in the ocean... a combination of long and short waveforms...

so depending on your point of view it might seem a bit repetitive and even nauseating at times.

When I was growing up,we used to have bomb drills,just like I assume they still have fire drills. Most of the time,the teacher would just have us duck under our desk. On very rare occasions we would go down to the c.d "bomb shelter". It was a boiler room in the basement with some crackers and water on shelves. That stuff stopped when we got to jr.high, seems like civil defense just disappeared after that,I'm not sure if I ever even saw a cd test screen after nixon. I don't know what to tell you,but the end of the world has been right around the corner my whole life. We where seriously worried about russians right up till the early 80's. And things where real bad when reagan took over. Empty houses everywhere, My grandfather lost his business for tax problems and banking issues. I think the savings and loan thing was a whole lot like the housing bubble,lotta corruption,and a lotta "regular" people just got screwed.
Anyway,my point is,not much has changed in 50 years.
